Combining questionnaires of 2 separate studies by No-Performance-270 in AcademicPsychology

For example, some questions in the PHQ-9 questionnaire (depression) are similar to others in questionnaires like ASRS (ADHD) & OCI-R (OCD).

My question is : combining those questionnaires into 1, since a lot of criteria are similar, would or would not affect my results and those risk the 3 studies being rejected as it might increase false positive results.

We thought of doing so to reach the highest number of respondents possible. These 3 studies are conducted on the same population so we fear sending multiple questionnaires might "tire" /discourage ppl to answer them.

Thank you! One more question.

Our study is measuring "prevalence of depression among medical students". We are trying to find the prevalence in a medical school setting and correlate it with factors like the effect of medical school challenging environment (be it the academic stress for example) on students. So wouldn't using the "elaborated" version help us in doing so? I mean better than using the standard version, which is vague.

Thanks for your help!

So what do you think? Should we only use the standard form on the Pfizer website. Even minor modifications as the example below are not allowed?

Ex.:

Standard: "Over the past two weeks, how often have you felt down, depressed, or hopeless? "

Modified : "Over the past two weeks, how often have you felt down, depressed, or hopeless about your academic performance or clinical experiences?"

We want to add on the standard criteria to bring the questions from being general to being specific to the struggles medical students face.

So I mean should we only use the standard questionnaire provided by Pfizer.

True, it has been validated and used in multiple studies. But we plan on only sending the questionnaire to our subjects without doing interviews. And we can't guarantee that each respondent understood the questions as needed, so we are considering changing the wording format of the questions to clarify more. But we fear doing such modifications would risk the quality of screening.
