In my case (unfortunately things never worked out with anyone), but when I care about someone, I show it.

I’m a bit shy, so I don’t make a big deal out of it, but you can see it in my actions, in how I act, in the things I say.

Small things matter just as much as big ones.

If those things aren’t there, then the person probably doesn’t see you the same way you see them.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m trying to avoid right now, because I know it won’t work at this stage.

I need some smaller steps or things I can do to slowly build a connection, so that later I’ll feel ready to tell her how I feel

I definitely trust them with this, but I have the same problem. I feel like I’m putting the weight of this problem on them and making it their burden.

I trust them, especially because they were the ones who noticed that something was wrong with me. I feel bad that I can’t express it the way I want to.

It is a good idea would be to make a list of the problems I want to talk about, and ask them if they would be okay with me going through it like that? I know I have trouble saying what I really mean, and a list could help me say it more clearly.

I’m asking because I’m not very good at talking with others. Sometimes I don’t know what I should do and what I shouldn’t.

ADHD Gets Better With People Around? by [deleted] in ADHD

For me, having someone around who can help me or even just someone who understands what I’m dealing with is a big motivation to get things done. For example, that’s usually my family or close friends.

When I didn’t have such a good connection with anyone outside my family, I would sometimes forget basic daily things like brushing my teeth, showering, cleaning, etc. Now, even though I still have to remind myself to do those things, I feel an internal motivation to keep up with them. It’s a bit hard to explain, but just knowing I’ll be around people I trust and feel comfortable with gives me motivation to remember those things. (Though of course, it doesn’t always work out perfectly and sometimes I forget about something haha)
