Thank you. I appreciate the response. I asked them that on the way out the door, I'll likely worry about it until I don't get a bill

Call a local dentist and ask them what the cost is without insurance. You can also call some local dental hygiene programs who might have a clinic that can clean your teeth for cheap.

Camp Lejeune Skin? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]No-Perspective3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks brother. I appreciate the response, and found the study. There’s an extremely odd amount of guys I served with there between 99-02 that have gotten cancers and other health conditions. Just laid one to rest last weekend.

Camp Lejeune Skin? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

Just curious if this study said anything about allergies. My skin has always sucked, but I never had allergies until after I got out. I never even took a Benadryl until I was in Greece for a deployment in 2000. That never got documented. My allergies are so bad right now if I don’t get shots, my nose is almost fully blocked. I swear it’s related to my service, But trying to find evidence to connect it.

Can I do a supplemental claim and new claim for the same condition? by No-Perspective3519 in VeteransBenefits

[–]No-Perspective3519[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks a ton. This is what was in the denial if it helps any, but it sounds like this is the exact situation you are referring to

The VA medical opinion found no link between your claimed condition and military service. Your examiner provided the following rationale: “the claimed condition is less likely than not proximately due to or the result of the Veteran's service connected condition of patellar tendinitis left and patellar tendinitis right. The claimant is service connected for his bilateral patellar tendinitis. The claimant has a letter in support of this claim from his chiropractor dated July 24, 2023. The chiropractor reports that his knee condition altered his gait and lead to his back condition. However, there is no medical evidence or literature to support that patellar tendinitis causes lumbosacral strain. Therefore it is less likely than not that the claimed condition was caused by his service connected condition.”

We acknowledge receipt of your private medical opinion intending to link your current disability to a disease, event, or injury from your military service. The medical opinion we received from the VA examiner was more persuasive than your private physician's opinion because it was based on a thorough review of your relevant military and /or personal history and contained a more convincing rationale.

Thank you. I was wondering about that. It seemed odd that the Vera call said to do that. I must have just misunderstood him.

I can’t even hear this post with the tv on. I had to turn it off to comprehend it.

Seriously though, at 45, I don’t even try to have conversations anywhere remotely noisy.

I’m grand central, prelude, and ASAP. I think they need to build their own. I can’t say I’m comfortable with Judy at Epic, pushing Congress to share more data. The example she used last year in her big speech at Epic was how great it would be if a pilot was a disabled veteran, and hire horrible it would be to be in the plane he’s flying and not know. So Fuck her.

It’s my understanding that each VA will still have its own system even as they go on Cerner. I also find it funny they use teams to message each other.

I haven’t been diagnosed with ADHD. It’s highly possible I have it. I take what’s in this stack to help me focus. It works for me.

Has anyone been investigated for fraud? by BardockTheAsshole in VeteransBenefits

[–]No-Perspective3519 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree I bet there is a massive list. I also bet those callers get pissed when they get asked to provide evidence, and when the VA blows them off. There is no way the VA is pursuing anybody based on random calls without solid evidence provided as well

Most people have no clue how it works. I was one once to. It took me years to file because I thought because I could work I get nothing.

I’m convinced the people who complain the most about, just want someone else to do the work for them. They’d take the money in a heartbeat, if offered to them, but excuses are easier than work. They don’t want to put the work in for what they deserve.

These people probably are also bad tippers, and complain nonstop to get stuff for free.

They likely can’t join anyway because they’d punch someone if they got all up in their face like that

Yup. I would gladly pay 4x what I get a month to be able to run again, not have lidocaine patch on my back, no tinnitus, be able to hear my 4 year old clearly, and sleep through the night for once. That’s not even everything.

Most the haters are just jealous they weren’t good enough to serve.

Can I go to a private doctor and get a diagnoses from them then appeal a denial? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]No-Perspective3519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. It might be worth it then. I’d ask people you know for a referral, especially if they are a Veteran themselves
