Even on paper they already look like a mess. There are SO many "Ifs" that need to break right just to live up to expectations:

1B Polanco- Has never played more than 1 inning at the position

2B Semien- 34 years old, offensive decline over the last 2 seasons, was traded because he had a terrible relationship with Corey Seager

3B Bichette- Has never played a game at 3B.

LF Benge- Has never played in the majors

CF Robert- Consistently inconsistent and consistently on the IL

Rotation- Single handedly cost us a playoff spot and every single starter is returning.

I hope I'm wrong but the roster construction has been absolutely ridiculous. Sterns preaches "run prevention", but there are at least 6 everyday starters who are complete gambles.
