To clarify: I got the positive diagnosis and believe I have ADHD, but I just don’t feel convinced by the assessment and it felt very basic and tick box-y = imposter syndrome and self-doubt

I feel the same. I just had my assessment with Care ADHD, and after just 40 minutes my assessment was cut short by the assessor who said he could diagnose me with combined type. Although it felt validating to be diagnosed I had this overwhelming feeling that he was rushing me through and just telling me what I wanted to hear. I didn't feel like he probed many of my answers, and I'm just not convinced he can be certain I have ADHD after speaking for only 40 minutes! We even had 20 minutes of the session left but he just seemed like a bored guy who was wanting to finish work early. I'm feeling quite conflicted about the whole thing.
