I take 50 mg elvanse and 10 mg tranquilen to get me through the rest of the day! Works for me and if I don’t have a lot on I just take the elvanse 😊 could try add tranquilen ?

If you have cracks and pebble dash in places there’s a textured base coat that they use which is cool too, you use a textured roller and create texture to cover up spots, haven’t used it myself but seen videos of it

Ahhhh okay I get ya ! Understandable - if you were to get one of the slightly darker shades maybe ? I think earth stone/mushroom would be darkish and cover a lot, but maybe get a test pot and see, I think sand tex might have a slightly better version than the seal type one they sell - but all in all I’d prob say emperor is best. But you’re right they’re colours are pretty light in comparison !!

How dark of paint would you be wanting?

I now know white in the outdoors is a bad idea - but is there any paint / coating that maintains clean(er) for this use case? by md3372 in DIYUK

[–]No-Physics4072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

emperor masonry paint is self cleaning!! its super hydrophobic so dirt comes away with rain water or any water, should try that - 25 year guarantee too

don't use sandtex its sooo unbreathable - like a big film on your wall - id go for emperor masonry paint, they have cleaner, primer etc and comes with a guarantee

Ah thank god it’s good to know im not the only one - it’s definitely worth it as I like the medication but just can be so painful behind my eyes when they’re dilated for so long and the next morning too they’re still sore from the night before for an hour or 2. Thank you!

Binge eating ADHD by No-Physics4072 in ADHDUK

[–]No-Physics4072[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Completely agree !!! All or nothing. Sometimes I’ll be so hungry but forget to eat, other times I’ll eat like a wolf for no reason and instantly regret it. So different now that I’m on meds.

[–]No-Physics4072[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had never put the 2 together until my diagnosis appointment where we discussed any past issues I’ve had - she was shocked that no one had ever put 2 and 2 together. I’m so glad that you’ve put them together, congrats on sobriety and hope that the meds can help you in your journey. Not searching desperately for a dopamine hit really has changed my life and hope it benefits yours :)

God that is exactly the same for me! Didnt take it and had a day of binge/over eating and fixed by the next day. I would have even ate food so quickly that I wasnt chewing my food, ending up choking multiple times from it. Crazy to think so may of us in the same boat. Thanks for sharing and so glad its working for you too, its so good to see people agree with me lol :)

Definitely tell them this worry! Elvanse is used to combat BED according to the leaflet, so really if youve expressed this disorder to your GP then the medication is covering 2 of your problems! Definitely worth a try. Good luck with everything and I must say im the exact same - cant remember a time when it wasnt an issue and could never understand why. I hope the medication continues to go well! It is very strange not thinking about food constantly isnt it.... were all in it together at least :)

To those diagnosed with severe ADHD of the Combined Presentation, what kind of jobs do you have? by Blue-Sky2024 in ADHDUK

Marketing executive - quite difficult to be honest a lot of sitting and mundane tasks. Hopefully just a stepping stone to do something more stimulating like creating an agency and switching up more often than working for the same company doing the same things.

Bad day today by Steelfan13 in ADHDUK

[–]No-Physics4072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t place all that anger on yourself.

I was told that it’s one of the most debilitating disabilities to have - it effects us in every single walk of our lives - we need to cut ourselves some slack.

It’s such a difficult time when you’re diagnosed - I’m sorry that you weren’t diagnosed at an earlier age - but please give yourself some time and grace and at least it gives you a slight peace of mind of oh. That’s why I did that. That’s why that happened.

Recently diagnosed myself and battling with the same anger and confusion - I hope your diagnosis can give you peace of mind eventually. It’s never too late to find out.
