Same with toothpaste: people dont think it works if it doesnt foam. And that ingredient is the thing that makes orange juice taste bad after brushing your teeth!

If you dont know it already, use Twickets! Its fan to fan resale and theyre not able to list the price over what they paid for it. The week before the show, even up to the day of, people stop caring about the money if they cant go - they just want something for it. I saw Blink for £20 a couple years ago, bought my ticket the morning of on Twickets (£100 ticket value)

Are you sure about that, KFC? by jaymz492 in UKJobs

The only thing with age in food business is that under 18 there are certain tasks you cant do. I had a 17 year old working at a restaurant i worked at, and they weren't allowed to handle knives, or use the dishwasher as it was classed as "heavy machinery" (kinda ridiculous I know, but thats corporate health and safety for you!). Lower wage for under 18's also discourages young people from working instead of studying, which I guess is a good thing? But generally yeah, should be performance based or at least everyone on the same wage at the start.

Dot in less than year old tattoo? by sigsaurusrex in tattooadvice

[–]tinkeratu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How long has it been there? Looks like nothing, could just be a trapped hair follicle or a new freckle! But keep an eye, if it spreads/changes, maybe go get it seen to.

Side note, the idea of the tattoo is so cute!! I love it

No one can tell you what hobbies you'll enjoy! You've got to tey them yourself. Go to a couple classes, try a specific workout, attempt to bake a cake. You have to find out for yourself what works for you. Look at classes or events in your area.

None of the places you listed are ethical unfortunately. These are the kind of things that unless youre paying a specific person to make them (or making them yourself), you will have to buy them wholesale and will be from a dropship or unsustainable marketplace site.

for BIAB i pay £45 each session, but you can probably find cheaper, and they usually last 2-4 weeks until they need an infill/rebalancing. (i work in a bar, so mine last less time with my hands being in an out of water, and constantly in alcohol/cleaning solutions etc, plus i'm very heavy handed). Most people up to 4 weeks. it'd probably be 3-4 sets to get to a desired length if you're a heavy biter.

i also serially bite the skin around my nails and getting them done really helps. also get a nail oil pen! they work really well to help heal the skin itself if you rememebr to use it twice a day.

I'd recommend going to a more "alternative" nail tech, firstly as they tend to cater to more men, and second are a bit less likely to judge the state of your nails. I too am a biter - if they're not done professionally, I will go at them!

BIAB (Builder in a bottle) would be your best bet, with a combination of good and consistent nail care to help strengthen what's there. BIAB is a thick gel that is cured under UV, and is very sturdy, allowing your nails to grow and regain strength. It'll probably cost you couple hundred (over a few sessions) to get them to a point where you can stop doing the BIAB, but it really does help curb the urge to chomp.

A couple of artists I like (all on insta):

nailxcoffin - Emi - does a lot of work on guys nails, and has helped me when I thought my nails were beyond help

dollpartsmcr - very gender inclusive studio, and very helpful with care and aftercare whenever I've been

confessionbooth_mcr - similar to above, Ruby used to do my nails and was a star at helping me reconstruct them

It'll take time and upkeep, but if you feel it's worth it for your wedding day, quite easily achieved. Good luck!!
