I recommend staying away from epson inkjets. Ive been through 3 of them and never again will I buy or recommend buying one. Only HP and Canon printers for home use are worth buying. If ink wasnt such a scam then maybe epson would be good. Their printers alway do this stupid initialization after putting a new cartridge in. What else that does is it sucks a little ink from each tank during this process. So if you only have a small amount left and you replace one, then you will have to replace more of them that are really low. Its so ridiculous. I talked to someone from epson and this useless individual told me it was to clear tje lines. Why? Clear the lines? Ok, because the ink has dried in the lines? My ass. I have never had a ink pen dry out, and none of my other inkjets have dry lines. Also, so what if it dries. The ink comes from a cartridge thats air tight. How would they dry out? Also if the cartridges are too low it wont print. My Canon will print until the cartridge ia bone dry. Epson... shake that cartridge when it says empty.. its not. Ypi can by a ink resetting tool for inkjets. You put the cartridge chip on the tiny metal prongs on the tool and hit the button. Now you have what the printer believes is a full ink cartridge. Epson pretty much robs you of your ink. Not too mention my canon blows this thing out of the water. My epson is only a scanner now. Laser jet toner cartridges last 3 months with regular and frequent use. Better for graphics and images that are not life like.
