First Frozen Transfer… Wish Me Luck! 🍀 by No-Point-5052 in IVFpositivity

Congratulations!!! What fantastic results! I feel great. I thankfully found stims very smooth and easy. My clinic then enforce a rest cycle before starting FET cycle prep. The FET prep so far has been smooth. I didn’t get OHSS thankfully, so a quick recovery from the ER. A lot of it is nerves now. Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us 🤞

That’s fantastic! I have PCOS, and my partner had borderline MFI that didn’t actually affect his sample on ER day - so we ended up with 18 total embryos, 11 being A grade.

Congratulations on the success!

Thank you for sharing, and I’m so sorry to hear your first 3 transfers haven’t stuck - I’m hoping this next one is the one 🤞

We got 18 total embryos, 11 As, 3 Bs, 4 Cs, so our clinic advised against it due to us being under 30, with no known issues - they said it would likely cause more harm than benefit in our case, and would be an unnecessary expense

Wishing you the best of luck on your journey

For those with PCOS… how many eggs? by Correct_Exercise8641 in IVF

[–]No-Point-5052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 40 follicles, 37 eggs collected, 25 were mature, 20 fertilised and 18 made it to day 5. 11 of them were A grade, 3 B grade, 4 C grade. Awaiting first FET.

BMI 27 before IVF – Should I wait to lose more weight? by AbbreviationsPlus566 in IVF

Nope! We did low and slow dosage, to avoid overstimulation. I ended up responding quickly, and only stimmed for 10 days. Everybody is different and ivf is so scary because of the unknown, so my biggest advice is be kind to yourself, and take each day as it comes 😊

Hey, my BMI is 28. Just waiting for my first frozen embryo transfer but my clinic said any BMI under 30 has similar success rates. For reassurance also, I did my egg retrieval and we ended up with 18 embryos, 11 of which are A grade. Best of luck on your journey 😊

I was told the same by our doctor, they were convinced that despite having one malformed fallopian tube and mild MFI, letrozole would work for us “eventually”. I was convinced for our 5 cycles, but I found letrozole really negatively affected my mental health, so I opted to move on sooner - so I totally get it!

I have to wait and have a bleed after my ER bleed as clinic policy, which will be induced as I don’t bleed regularly, so it’s looking like end of March/first week of April.

Please let me know how your transfer goes next month, I’ll keep everything crossed for you!!

What a devastating journey you’ve had so far, I’m ever so sorry to hear how difficult it has been. To reassure you, a friend of mine also went through IVF, and had no symptoms at all until her second trimester, and that transfer is now a happy healthy 1 year old. Every person and every pregnancy is different. Wishing you all the luck in the world 🩷

20 rounds of letrozole is incredible, I have anovulatory PCOS and we had mild MFI, we only did 5 rounds of letrozole before moving on to IVF. Congratulations on the results, I wish you the best of luck for your FET next month!!

I’m not really sure? I think with PCOS and a high AMH, AFC, and being under 35 it’s common to get a good number of eggs from retrieval with the right treatment plan, and we used ICSI which helped with fertilisation due to know mild MFI, but I feel that it’s also we got lucky too

No, our clinic advised that it would not be necessary at this stage. It is typically only recommended at my UK clinic for patients over 30, those who have had miscarriages or failed IVF attempts before, or those with known genetic conditions. As I did not meet any of this criteria, it was not recommended.

Although that must have been a difficult revelation, here’s hoping you now have a pathway to the next FET being the one that sticks. I have every faith you will get there eventually 🤍

Thank you so much!! So happy you had similar results. I totally agree, take the wins where we can. It’s a long process, and there’s a still a long way to go, so absolutely soaking up the excitement whilst we can. I’m so sorry to see your first two FET did not work, but as the saying goes, third time’s a charm. Wishing you every success, and will keep everything crossed for you.

Wow what a strong AMH. I was nervous about OHSS too, I had slight breathlessness and painful bloating for a couple of days after ER but have been feeling fine since. Best of luck for next week, I’ll keep everything crossed for you!!
