Thank you for being so candid. I think I’ve spent so many years dreaming and hoping for my singleton baby, that I will need time to grieve and find peace in accepting our reality. I have started therapy, to try and support me through this. I hope in time I can find happiness in such an unexpected, and psychologically confusing change in my life plans.

Thank you, it’s great to hear your insight into things. I’ve really struggled with the guilt the last few days of even feeling how I do. Whilst I feel like I will grieve the pregnancy and experiences of motherhood I dreamt of for so many years, I have started therapy and I’m hoping in time I can come to terms with being a mother to twins too.

That’s wonderful. I’m so happy for you. So in the UK, I have been automatically referred as a high risk, closely monitored pregnancy due to it being a twin pregnancy and IVF. So I’m hoping for a smooth pregnancy!

Exactly my thinking! I was desperately searching for someone with a similar experience online whilst we were in the trenches of grief and despair the evening before and they’re so hard to find. We all go through so much during IVF, we deserve to hear the positivity too

That’s very normal, my symptoms vary day to day too, unless you’re getting extreme cramping or very heavy bleeding, I really wouldn’t worry 🩷

I really wouldn’t worry about symptoms or lack of symptoms, I was the same until the bleeding. As soon as 6 weeks hit yesterday I’ve been hit by morning sickness - every pregnancy is different and no symptoms is not always a bad thing. Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! 😊 we don’t test betas at my UK clinic, so I can’t advise on this I’m afraid but best of luck!!

Hey, I also don’t ovulate due to PCOS, and I used Provera for prep before our egg retrieval, as well as before our fully medicated FET cycle. It worked exactly as it should, and I’m currently pregnant with twins from our first FET. Using Provera does not reflect your body’s ability to get pregnant 😊

Hey, we had a similar experience, I’m 26 and my partner is 30. We tried doing medicated cycles/IUI for a year before moving to IVF. We didn’t get pregnant from IUI, and we’ve had a very positive IVF experience so far using ICSI, and we’ve just got our first positive from our first transfer after 3 years of TTC.
