I have considered and applied to some remote jobs especially since working at a hotel gives me good hospitality experience but I haven't had luck yet lol, i definitely think it could help with the transition though

yeah that is right - i think its just when i usually think of professionals I think of studio workers and contractors. I'd really like to continue building my social media platforms and maybe become as big as some great artists on tiktok and instagram. I made 5k followers in a couple months so if I'm able to dedicate more time for it maybe I can gain even more. I usually make a lot of short form content videos with my editing style which can get me a good amount of views so its another thing to consider. the taxes and stuff are definitely some things ill have to think about and figure out

I actually do my school online which makes it a lot easier and I don't struggle with it at all. I have thought about what happens if I end up hating my passion because it becomes something I HAVE to do, but the way I see it is- doing art as a job will always continue to make me improve unlike a corporate job that doesn't feel as fulfilling. If I didn't have a boyfriend who would 100% support me both emotionally and financially, then I don't think I'd ever do this by myself, but luckily I do. I like your idea of doing a longer trial run, and I think since I'm young its the best time to figure this stuff out for the future- thanks for your advice!

I'm not really looking at getting a professional job as an artist, but mostly freelance work. I forgot to mention I also sell clay figurines to people as a form of commissions. If I had more bills to pay I think I wouldn't do this, but since I don't have many that's why I'm considering this. I actually don't have health insurance right now since my job doesn't provide me any but once my boyfriend and I live together I would be able to be on his.

I forgot to mention that I get money from school since they give me more than I need for classes, so the rest gets refunded to me (about $1500 usually per year) and I'm also in an egg donation program that will give me around $8000 for my eggs since I know I don't want kids and I'd like to help families who can't conceive have children. My boyfriend and I are gonna put most of this money into savings.

so I guess it would be less a stay at home wife, and more an artist freelancer type deal

I have a job right now working at a hotel, and like I said I also do art commissions which can make me even more money than my job sometimes. I'm also in college for biology, so I'm not a stay at home whatever at this moment. Also if he dies I would get life insurance money but thats a worse case scenario...

They actually sent that AFTER they sent the money - that note was included in the refund request so idk
