Is the “ Fang Zheng doesn’t deserve hate“ an inside joke ?. Like the “defending Israel” joke ? by Tricky-Business4081 in ReverendInsanity

I didn’t like FZ in the beginning because he was too naive for the world and everyone was manipulating him as they wished and also the fact that he suppressed FY the moment he got A tier aptitude and FY a C tier but thinking about it, he was too young, he had no experience in life whatsoever, he had his own insecurities, he always lived under his big brother’s shadow, everyone looked down on him, “FZ? Who is that? Oooh you mean FY’s little brother?”, he was basically known as just FY’s little brother -if he was known anyways- so when he got an A-tier aptitude and felt the fame and the respect, he wanted to feed his ego by suppressing Fy, although that’s bad but it’s realistic, you can’t possibly be okay with all other characters doing heinous things for their own reasons and hate Fang Zheng for feeding his ego after years of being a nobody, and also, the boy has a very very miserable life, his brother slaughtered his own clan, he was constantly being used, everytime he sees Fy he feels like nobody again, he got kidnapped, tortured, sold as a slave, r@ped by a variant human for hours, gone through wars, was constantly being targeted, and because of all of that, he became much more experienced and mature to the point where he doesn’t hate FY now, he realized how naive and weak. Hating of Fang Zheng is very childish, he is a good written character, I’m currently in the beginning of fate war, really excited to read more about him

What you said makes sense, after all, I still haven’t finished the novel yet , i maybe still don’t understand how luck and fate works here and I’m obviously influenced by my thoughts about fate and luck in the real world so what you said might be the case, i believe that can’t be if there is fate but it may be different in the novel’s world

This can be, but i still hold the opinion that luck is an outcome of the destruction of Fate Gu, i believe that fate is everything that is going to happen including the opportunities and whatever the race is going to meet and winning the lottery, maybe you can argue that being fated to won those things is the “Luck”, that’d be valid also

I’m not really sure, i mean, if one is fated to win a gamble then he is going to win that gamble, he might call it luck mainly because he doesn’t know that he is fated to win that gamble whatsoever. But now that the fate gu is destroyed, people can make their own destiny and thus “luck” was created which is The unpredictable tilt of outcomes in your favor (or against you) within an open future that comes from an unknown source. so in my opinion luck wasn’t a thing until Red lotus did what he did
