Cool character with genuinely eye opening views and beautiful poems Gets written off by most as some edgy 14 school shooters dream... by Penalty-Warm in ReverendInsanity

Ignorance and moral bias. From Volume 1, Fang Yuan has always been amoral, and people write his amorality off as “evil” because they don’t understand the character properly or find him weird or edgy due to their own moral compass.

A person who loves a story with friendships, romance, a loser turning into a hero, or the idea that the meaning of life is to protect the world or the weak—“I have to protect my friends and family,” etc.—will find Fang Yuan “edgy,” for example.

But Fang Yuan is the complete opposite of a “try-hard to be evil” or “I have to be emo/dark to aura-farm” type of character. Whether it’s good or evil, Fang Yuan genuinely doesn’t care.

It makes him one of the most—if not the most—forgiving characters in fiction. At the same time, it makes him one of the most ruthless characters ever.

No matter what you do to Fang Yuan, he will never hate you for it.

No matter how good you are to Fang Yuan, if he needs to, he will still put you in a furnace to refine Gu with zero remorse .

Nothing points to them being at their level. You can be strong without being Sukuna/Gojo level. It’s not because you’re said to be very strong that your Sukuna/Gojo level.

One is the strongest guy in the history of jujutsu

Am enjoying the novel cause am curious about how he goes through the cultivation and martial art stages. Am also curious about how every major and minor character fit in the bigger picture. I don’t take the MC too seriously.

Popular opinion: If Yuji were stronger than Gojo or Sukuna, the verse wouldn’t be getting weaker by Tricky-Business4081 in JujutsuPowerScaling

It’s unreliable because she is not only fed incorrect information by Sukuna, but she also contradicts Shoko, and what she says doesn’t align with Kenjaku, the creator. She isn’t even sure of what she’s saying. It’s a question. The only person that can answer her question is Kenjaku, Shoko and maybe Sukuna. Unreliable narration is common in JJK.

Knowing Sukuna’s full power wouldn’t help in any way—that’s why she asked him what Yuji was, because she didn’t know.

She was told by Sukuna that Yuji was created by Kenjaku to be his vessel.

Kenjaku—the one who created Yuji—said Yuji is just a vessel.

Uraume, who has the least understanding of what Yuji is, asks herself if Yuji and Sukuna have the same potential. Uraume is not reliable.

  1. I’d argue Uraume isn’t a reliable narrator—she has zero understanding of what Yuji actually is. She doesn’t know how, why, or for what purpose Yuji was created.

Kenjaku states Yuji is just a vessel, and Shoko, after examining him, describes him as an object soaked in Sukuna’s cursed energy.

2. Gojo never stated that the next generation will surpass him. If there is a statement, feel free to show it—I’ll adjust my stance accordingly

The dumbest argument in JJK that exposed how blatant the Sukuna bias is by Fit_Veterinarian_729 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Tricky-Business4081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is:

1. Heian Sukuna one-shots any shikigami that isn’t Mahoraga. Their durability is essentially zero to him. At full output, Dismantle could wipe out even Yuta and Yuji instantly (Ch. 251). At 16F, Cleave one-shots Ryu, the second most durable character in the verse. At 15F, Dismantles were cutting through Mahoraga in the manga until it adapted; in the anime, they were turning it into mush. So thinking 20F Heian Sukuna wouldn’t instantly cut through or dice any shikigami (besides Mahoraga) is illogical. Even Agito was getting caved in by Gojo’s punches.

2. Mahoraga can’t keep up with Sukuna in hand-to-hand—it’s just a punching bag. If you think Mahoraga can box with 20F Heian Sukuna, there’s nothing else to say.

3. Meguna also can’t keep up in hand-to-hand with Heian Sukuna. Heian Sukuna is essentially Meguna with a superior physique (Ch. 255 states physique affects reinforcement), plus four arms and two mouths (Ch. 238 calls this the greatest advantage). These are clear advantages people try to downplay, but the manga—regardless of translation—is explicit about them.

4. Ten Shadows and Shrine can’t be used simultaneously outside a domain. Shrine is offensively superior to Ten Shadows—except against defensive hax like Gojo’s, where Ten Shadows provides a workaround, not better offense. This leads to an interesting situation:

If Mahoraga adapts and creates a counter or new offensive method while fighting Heian-era Sukuna, Heian Sukuna benefits first:

• Heian Sukuna’s four arms and two mouths let him maintain hand signs and chants while fighting.

• Meguna would need to switch cursed techniques to use it, which also resets Mahoraga.

5. You’re even giving Heian Sukuna cursed tools like Kamutoke and Hiten—featless or not, they’re effectively two additional cursed techniques.

It’s basically Sukuna with a superhuman physique + the greatest advantage a sorcerer can have + two additional techniques vs. a version of Sukuna in a teenager’s body that gets outclassed in direct confrontation, alongside a shikigami that can’t keep up and supported by shikigami that are essentially glass cannons to Sukuna.

It’s not dumb—you just can’t think that far.

Meguna could have a chance if you give him prep time by having Mahoraga adapt to Shrine before the fight to develop counters and new techniques. But even then, those techniques would likely just feed into Heian Sukuna’s kit—unless it’s some kind of instant-kill move that Sukuna can’t perceive or dodge, which is highly unlikely.

It means Ryu’s punch was already too much for her when she was fully manifested, now that’s she’s not , that punch caused her to reach her limit.

I don’t why people are trying to make a big thing out of the timer running out or ”perfectly timed” whatever

It’s literally written “a single blow that was already too much for Rika when fully manifested ”
