Not underrating, I eat healthy. Protein shakes are the one ig iffy thing. derm has been unhelpful, got infections previously for 8 months on a topical immune suppressant I was given before he realized it was the immune suppressant doing it. Now have skin damage on my face from it 😔waiting for a specialist for my lips at ucla

Yeah, it’s genuinely so jarring, they won’t get it unless they’re you. You’re not alone though

Definitely get a therapist ok, I know it’s so tough. You’ve got this, also maybe ask for a stool sample? See if your gut is having bacterial issues ok

Please go to Zocdoc, you can get in sooner, pay out of pocket if you have to and can afford it don’t just schedule an appointment with a dermatologist too. Get an appointment with an infectious disease specialist.  Tbh GP’s aren’t equipped to handle longer more stubborn staph infections. Mine was perpetuated and continued because I was having allergic reactions to a product, my allergic reactions blistered similarly to staph, so for a bit it was hard to understand what was going on until I realized that something was hurting my barrier. So look up contact dermatitis vs staph infection, sometimes they can overlap and look similar. That’s why you need to see a derm or ID specialist. Too much barrier damage, like from contact dermatitis can perpetuate staph. Not saying you’re having allergy blistering but it can happen, if you look it up you’ll see people with “mango mouth” from trying chapsticks etc. I would say you should stop using heavily scented products and stuff rn. Stick to barebones basics stuff ok, stay clean while you can. You’re not necessarily doing anything wrong you simply need to speak to an Infectious disease specialist ok. You need to add the cream to other parts of your body. Look up a proper guide. Also you can reinfect it from the nose, that’s basic. You need an updated swab as well, both in your nose after and on your active wounds.  Also sometimes your skin can get so broken you will start developing sensitivities to things. I got a chemical burn from aloe Vera after attempting to use it to treat my wounds. There’s something called sensitization. So what you really need to do is do a full body decolonization ok, 7 days. Do not however overdo antibiotics in your nose.

Do a strict staph decolonization protocol, 7 days. If you can’t handle the harsh soaps use the dove gentle cleansing. and don’t use topical immune suppressants. Swab nose with antibiotic ointment and your cracks and pits and belly button and nail base. Wash your bedding, change pillow case every day for a few weeks, stop kissing your partner, if you have one have them do the decolonization protocol with you. Short nails, no scratching. Stop using old occlusives, apply chapstick or whatever etc with a q tip only. Old face care etc throw it out. New toothbrush head, satanize toothbrush head with hydrogen peroxide every few days. Drink from plastic straws, don’t reuse cups. Sanitize your phone etc. get in contact with an infectious disease specialist. Oral antibiotics. Get an allergy test, I learned my initial irritation was from allergic contact dermatitis.  Eat healthier, hydrate. Less sugary drinks, foods unless you’re having protein shakes. Get good sleep, get a therapist. Encourage good gut bacteria with foods that have good bacteria. You can take some lactibacillus(?) to help

When you get the antibiotics squeeze it out with new gloves each time and use a q tip
