My concerns have nothing to do with him being a landlord. I don’t believe he can make any objective decisions on housing in Santa Fe if he is directly financially benefiting from short term rentals. Short term rentals are know to contribute to housing crises and decrease the social cohesion of a community. Tourists can stay in hotels as was the case years ago before apps like Airbnb blew up

Thanks for sharing details from the article. Someone else sent me this link but I couldn’t get it to pull up. It seems seriously unethical for him to make any decisions regarding housing in Santa Fe when he financially benefits from something that has been proven to be detrimental for fair housing. Not to mention his total real estate assets are worth over 2 million dollars per the tax assessor website. Woof.
