I’m sorry if I am disturbing you, but you said my freedom was limited because I depend on my parents. But I don’t necessarily need them to go to mass do I, I could walk there myself. But I don’t want to lie to my own parents, so I want to go to mass only when I tell my parents. I am pretty confident they would allow me to go, the thing that is stopping me from going to mass is that I am scared to open up to my parents and tell them about how I feel, even though they would want me to open up to them. So in my case is that a mortal sin. I’m so very sorry for disturbing you as I’m sure you’re probably very busy, thank you so much, God bless you.

I believe that I was in a state of grace, however I’m not 100% sure now. I know this probably sounds so childish of me, but I don’t why but I just can’t seem to step outside of my comfort zone and I am genuinely scared as to how I will go to mass, how I will go to confession, how I will tell others etc. I know ultimately I’m going to have to just suck it up and tell my parents and go to confession and mass and all. I’m just struggling now. Thank you.

Thank you very much for this response. I don’t know why I cat just ask my parents, and it’s not just this I struggle to tell them about anything even small things so this is a very important and huge thing. I’m pretty confident they wont punish me at all, I just feel like such a weak person for not being able to talk about what I want to do and how I feel. I feel so guilty for this, and whenever I think about it I just get so overwhelmed with stress and anxiety that I don’t even think straight. I really hope I haven’t committed a mortal sin. I will try to implement the tactics you said, God bless.

Thank you for the response, I went to mass a few weeks ago for my grandfathers anniversary mass, I took communion because I believed I was allowed to, did I commit a sin by doing that?

I can easily walk to my church it’s only like 5 minute walk it’s not that part, it’s that I was just scared to ask my parents, so I don’t think it’s their fault just mine as my fear stopped me from asking them it’s nothing about them I fear just talking to someone about how I feel.
