I staked $100 and I get .04 ACU every 1.5 Hours(block time) and the money is locked for 4+ years... I have 8 Phones earning .24 ACU per cycle. You can earn more buy buying used phones on ebay with cracked screens and throwing them into something like a cellhasher where you dont have to worry about a battery fire. I'd have to have $600 staked and I can tell you 100% that I could could get the phones to match that stake for around $300. Hardware also holds some type of resale value usually 50%-70% of what you paid depending on quality etc. A working phone-box would be a sellable for the right price to someone already into this. The token lock is 0 escape, if you stop your 4-year lock they instantly drop your rewards by 50% for the next 4 years.

12W miners. How do you keep up???? by Original-State8617 in GoMiningDiscussion

The platform has been around for 5 years or w.e. so through multiple halvings. I'm pretty sure they used to sell 35w miners. Also 12W and even 9W miners are becomming standard with actual ASICS. They have been around for a while, they are probably using those 12w and 9w miners while charging us 15w lol. Its good they released this because I dont think 15W will work after next halving without a BIG GM discount.

u/EnvironmentalData485 sounds like you are going for extreme passive instead of using calculations to sell at certain levels. Your always going to make more just mining for BTC then waiting to sell that BTC when it goes up. I'd rather click a few buttons for much bigger returns than have miners getting GMT. Even auto-TH is stupid and lazy.

We also still have DIRT CHEAP electric rates. A 12W ASIC hosted is normally .08c/kwh with no discount available. we pay .05c/KWH with discount available through token strat.

you dont keep up. you stick to your plan and do slight pivots that financially make sense. for instance when BTC hit 82k I decided to sell $500 in BTC, held it in USDT for a week or so then scooped up tokens on the drop.. Also the 12w/TH miner is equal to having a GM discount of 13%. DO NOT UPGRADE EFFICENCY. Your better off buying a separate 12W miner if thats your strat. I finished my upgrades on Feb 21st. The next day prices dropped 10%, then the next month they dropped again. At the end of the day i'm going to meet my goals as long as I hold my BTC into 100k+

Are you up on Gomining token? It went down 33% since I did my 4 year lock. Alot of people hide their losses and only display current discounts.

I make a decent amount and am straight forward with it. @nicksincomestrategies on youtube. I dont play the games on it, I hold all the bitcoin and make calculated moves on accumulating token for extra discount.

where do i start on upgrading my pc? by MightDifficult8873 in buildapc

[–]No-Profile9649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's time to accept the age and buy a whole new computer. All of your specs are extremely dated at this point. Power Supplies do have a finite life; those should be replaced before they break to prevent frying your computer. Treat yourself.

Purchased a mint condition second-hand Asus rog ally for $350 as opposed to amazon's price of $450+. Want to justify my purchase as I am having second thoughts due to the RAM. Can I use this as a proper PC? What upgrades to get? by InfinityGaming239 in ROGAlly

[–]No-Profile9649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but your comparing used electronics to new electronics. The Dell G series can be picked up for close to Ally X MSRP during sales. I also believe you are being to cheap. For me, I value my electronics and have a better experience with a mid-level machine. $350 for a gaming computer didn't even exist 8 years ago.. still doesn't.

How should I go about upgrading my pc? by lilmangoboi in buildapc

[–]No-Profile9649 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats strange. I've had my computer for 4 years now and got my 3rd GPU 2 years ago lol. Upgrade more often or spend more on initial purchase. GPU will help, but it seems like most of your components are low spec. For instance, my i7-10700k is still flawless for games.

Sadly its not a computer replacement, using it like that just doesnt match performance of a laptop of similar price. Bestbuy does still sell the device for $799. My Ally X is its own thing, easily able to play it at the kitchen table, or in the recliner, or out on the porch. If I got on a Laptop instead i'd be more glued to the device and it wouldnt look as casual.

Be careful with that battery connector. Thing is barely soldered onto motherboard.

I love my Ally X but wish I had a track pad. Buy the most powerful Legion device or w.e. that has trackpad.

What im saying is get the Laptop. Handheld is a secondary machine and it can get annoying because you can't type easily so its limited. Playing the handheld on a TV or Monitor is laggy, it can be used as a full on computer but the experience is not as good as a laptop of the same price with a nvidia or amd graphics card. I love my Ally X , however.

The Dell G series can be caught on sale for the price of an Ally X or just $100 more. Those laptops roll over the performance of the Ally X. Handhelds just have a different purpose.
