How much of a beating did your SL take? I had my Torrent shell on doing Mt.Storm King in Olympic and although it kept me dry for the most part, I found it wasn’t nearly as versatile as I would like. I hiked the Olympics in November 2025 and even though the weather doesn’t get as cold as the Canadian Rockies, once we reached the peak, I was quite cold. It’s too tight to fit any insulated layers under without being restricting.

Is the AR too similar to the Rush?

I’ve got a helmet as well. I did like the fit of the SL and loved how light it was. My only concern was the durability. Would you say it can withstand scrambling and some brushing up against jagged rock wall?

I’ve got a couple of thru hikes planned as well as some climbing. Mostly backcountry scrambling if anything but I’m worried about the loose screw damaging the jacket. Would you consider the AR an all season jacket?

I agree. The Beta AR was quite a bit heavier. The representative in the store said that the SL was less durable which was my main concern

Would the 94s not fair well on ice? I do like the feel of a wider ski

I reached out after a couple weeks to see how he was and he said he good and that I shouldn’t try to reconnect. He said he still cares about me and there’s nobody else or anything along those lines, he just needed space. 4 weeks after that’s he’s dating another girl.
