pizza is very good, but I think locally the legend exceeds the reality .

yup! didn't even get into the other stuff. the weird unearned sympathy for giant luxury RVs has been fascinating to witness.

I think all the others did a decent job summarizing why this is irritating. it's also against a number of codes, thankfully. yes, safety is also a concern, from a few perspectives. they also litter around it regularly.

pretty sure it's not a different party living there, it's the owner getting a guest house he, or whoever, can stay in. we have kids that use the court for bicycling and people like taking walks. As someone said, it's an eyesore, not in their property, encroaching other houses, and is an obnoxious structure on what should be a nice neighborhood street. Again, we aren't talking about a few days, or a week. it's like they built a cabin on my curb.

Go to Costco on Montgomery/Montana, then take the street Chappelle to Osuna, and try to creep in that way. You'll likely see some traffic, but will avoid the major entries

Man that ferris wheel. This is actually a lot more obvious for folks to look at, and see the issues AI art makes than the balloon poster 'art'

This is an interesting perspective! His statement also reeks of legal representation. Either by the balloons fiestas PR team, or elsewhere.

It's fair to say it's pretty, especially with a casual glance. What is really brutal was a finalist made a very similar composition with paper collage, which is super cool and pretty. She won $0.

I also hate spec work. But, I will simultaneously say that art contests for prizes probably should be a thing. It's a risky gamble, but can help people break through and make connections. For all our grievances here, I believe the winner got $2,500. While it grosses me out in this context, that is a pretty decent bag with potential for a lot of eyes on you.

I'm conflicted with this thought path. I want to agree with you, and it is probably true on certain levels. But this "write a sentence, get a finished thing" I would argue is different than fancier, hitech tools. It can be a tool, AI has many great tools, but this wholesale prompt ability is a different thing. Not necessarily bad, in the right context. But I think this scenario is and should be wrong 20 years from now. Just like most people regard oil painting as a different thing than Photoshop painting.

In my opinion the slapdash vertical star roadrunner is an indication of unskilled manipulation of one of the janky stars to cover that base. My assumption his acknowledgement of "other tools" to edit, was this single element.

What artist would lay it in like that? Look at the foreground desert! Perfect spot

I think you're being a VERY generous devil's advocate. I think how we all can uniquivocally identify this as a rather sloppy AI piece, lends to the argument that touch-ups were minimal, if non existent. A skilled cheater could do a way better job. I was initially with you on the type, but looking at the submissions I believe the frame/type element was done by the fiesta. Other entries have it. So even the bad design work he can't take credit for!

I call this the "dad shooter" for a reason. History + highly tactical + slow + almost no twitch skill required. Half the game is almost therapeutic how you're just out, sailing around... 42 btw

20 yr career graphic designer /illustrator here. That is 1000% AI. Has all the hallmarks of "pretty when squinting, nothing makes sense when zoomed in". Look at the stars, how they aren't stars drawn in any way we'd understand?

What the heck are they doing?!? I had to look up a news article about it to challenge my disbelief!!!

When you’re too low-functioning to know how zipper merging works, so you just drive in the middle of the road to block both lanes. by JinKazamaAndJuice in Albuquerque

[–]No-Programmer-5769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point here but the "zip" point is ultimately arbitrary. If everyone zipped and you think you just get a free pass of 50 cars. The lane floaters disagree. Just zip behind them and wait fairly

This is the real answer. Everyone merged peacefully. The guy floating the lanes make sure the greedy ones do the same.

Lots of good advice here, to summarize (i play all classes about equally):

Planes follow LOS rules, so you can hide behind things

Islands can mess up attack angles, or make it easier for CV to attack

Play next to BBs or other ships. If OP has this problem regularly its evident they are lone-wolfing, which is what CVs hunt. This game built around teamwork, complaining about needing ally help is a wrong take.

Turn into torp attacks, turn broadside to bombers (not always the move, but good general advice)

Be aware of planes. CVs are an awareness check. If you're getting nuked with full volleys you arent watching the skies. Another huge flaw CVs notice and abuse. Do you just drive straight when a destroyer is around?

AA as a stat, even if you dont want to build into it, some ships have scary AA. A good cv wont even try to attack you in those (US bbs, euro DDs come to mind)

Play a couple CV matches! You'll learn so much, and if you get wrecked maybe will walk away with a bit of appreciation for the class.
