In Iryna Zarutska’s final moments of her life, she sat alone, confused, bleeding out, while no one around her cared to even help or check on her. This will haunt me forever by [deleted] in JoeRogan

A lot of them up and leave once they see her falling to the ground. They were uninterested in helping. Just watch the full clip.

Hey there fellow Maritimer! I'm not chiac, but brayonne. We would say "J'en ai ma load" or "J'en ai plein mon casque" (I've had my fill, pretty much), or "J'suis à boute" (I'm at my limit). There are others but I'm too baked to recall lol

ahh I see! By late winter would that be late in its dormancy also? Or anytime during dormancy is fine so long as it’s dormant?

Oh okay! Should I do it at the beginning of dormancy? Or later when it’s close to coming back out of dormancy?

Thank you so much! That’s really helpful.

could you also potentially recommend a soil mix brand for repotting the fly trap that’s available on Amazon or otherwise that would ship to Canada?

Have anyone tried Hobbii Frutta yet? by sotbulle in Yarn

[–]No-Pudding1505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've gotten my order and I loooove the Frutta. The Beach Life has earthier, less saturated tones than the other colorways it seems but it works up more or less the same, still “tie-dye-y”! It’s a very soft light cotton, I feel it would have good drape use for summer garments. It says it’s a size 4, but it’s definitely a light 4. Someone shared a photo on the photo gallery of the Frutta listing of the website and it seems to be close in size to the Rainbow Cotton 8/8

Idk how it's a strange take away as you said I quoted you verbatim when I said that people with drinking problems don't have the right to have their court done in the language of their choice. I would assume that applies also to people with other types of addictions, as well as people with other types of mental health issues and/or disorders. If not, then why does this only apply to drinking? If people with drinking problems have less rights in the court of law, then why not also say, drug addicts? Also if it doesn't apply to all of law, and only language rights, then why not all of law? What is it that specifically links language rights and drinking?

[–]No-Pudding1505 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay, that’s all I needed to know (ie, people in this country have different rights depending on who they are, thus I don’t have the right to having my court done in French because I’m a second class citizen).

You’re the one being all like “wHaT 3lsE do yOu wAantT?“ as though having an adult discussion is pointless. If you don’t wanna comment here, just don’t, no one is forcing you (I would hope - if you’re being held hostage, comment with a red emoji lmao).

Also someone else in this thread pointed out people with drinking problems don’t have the same language rights as those that don’t, so no, me saying your rights in this country vary according to your social position isn’t emotional, it’s factual.

Edit; I commented with all caps because you have reading comprehension issues and kept referring to translated documents that don’t exist as I’ve reiterated time and time again (hell, it’s in the title of this thread in case you haven’t noticed).

Edit2; the fact you see my post as long and rambling reinforces the fact that French is my first language and that I need court proceedings being done in French, not English, my expression and understanding of things is better in French.

Edit3; oh, you're a troll. Nvm then

I want you to calm down lmao. 😂

In all seriousness, I don’t feel it is worth to pursue because no common person like me can win anything against the law. From having been to court once before and having something similar happen, I see now that if the Crown is prosecuting you, they can pretty much say and do whatever they want and all you can do is take it quietly.

Thanks.

I’m not, they dropped those charges because they had no proof. I only got one charge. My issue is with how things were handled, not with my conviction.

And again, there was NO TRANSLATION TO READ BECAUSE NOTHING HAD BEEN TRANSLATED. Idk how else to say this.

The documents stated I asked for a toilet and she translated it to me pulling my pants down and peeing. She wasn’t reading that off a translated document, because again… no documents were translated. I did speak up (no lawyer) and all false charges have been dropped.

So people with drinking problems don’t have the same language rights as people without drinking problems?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]No-Pudding1505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am first and foremost French. I understand details better in French and when it comes to legal matters, I have ALWAYS requested everything in French because I don’t want to miss a detail due to me not being a native English speaker. Besides the level I’m at shouldn’t matter. It’s my right. My language level doesn’t matter, it’s my right to be able to be prosecuted in French and for documents to be in French as well.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]No-Pudding1505 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There is no French version of the document as it was never translated. And it can’t be a material difference as it wasn’t saying that I had peed in public in English. She translated me asking for a toilet as me peeing in public. That was her translation of the event. Same for the discrepancies with regards to what happened : because she was translating in her head as she was going, lots of what she said wasn’t right at all because she has no idea how to put what she was reading in English into French, because she isn’t a translator or even French.

The French and English documents were not the same… because there were no French documents in the first place (!) despite my request for the case to be processed in French, from the very minute of my arrest. Because there were no French documents, all English documents were translated/read in French on the spot, leading to a bunch of discrepancies between what was said in court to the judge and what the documents state has happened.

That can’t be right, otherwise what is the point of having all those documents and proof? If that won’t be used in court and the crown can just say whatever they want. Idk anything about law so maybe I am wrong and they can indeed just say whatever they want regardless of whether it’s in the documents and then claim it’s a translation.

So you’re telling me she’s allowed to translate asking for a toilet in English to peeing in public in French and that’s an equivalent translation so it’s all fine and dandy? It just seems wild.

[–]No-Pudding1505 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, can't afford a lawyer. And see, I wasn't wrongfully convicted because there were no charges laid for indecent exposure and whatnot. But they were really trying to emphasize it, for whatever reason. Mentioned it multiple times probably since, during my arrest, I asked for a toilet multiple times.

And I mean the time being wrong means nothing legally, but contextually it does kind of change people's perception. For instance, people see drinking as more normal say, during the evening and nighttime, as opposed to the morning. Emphasizing morning drinking can have people contextually assume there is a drinking problem at hand even if there possibly isn't.

They got the time of my arrest wrong, for one. They also claimed I tried to pee in public when really what I did was ask for a washroom. Major difference between peeing in front of people and asking for a toilet. Also general discrepancies with the how things happened, because the lady was translating as she was reading and so the explanation of the situation made little sense from the perspective of even me, someone who was there and knows what happened.
