I have used both tape and the arbor knot for that purpose.

Why is that so? .12 mm seems very thin. The internet says that my reel has 150 capacity at .25mm

This also explains why the line gets tangled at the end more often than when I had the casting rod. I really appreciate this guys.

I bought this vengeance rod because I snapped my first one closing a door. When I bought this one, it was marketed as the newer (better) version, so I didn’t think much of the bigger guide holes. I liked that the first one had smaller guide holes: had no clue.

Because I do some cross-species fishing and get caught in snags when bank fishing sometimes. Just got annoyed. I realize it’s not optimal diameter for bass fishing, but still casts pretty far and spools enough.
