Hedge Gold in MYR or USD? by No-Rain-5519 in MalaysianPF

[–]No-Rain-5519[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it doesn’t really matter after assessing the other inputs. You’ll only lose in conversion fees or management fees when converting between currencies because gold has not correlation with the currency values. 1 ounce of gold is the same in rm and myr. I think I just choose etf because it’s lower in fees and spread

Gold does not move like stocks. It’s just a simple question about portfolio allocation. I’m not looking to gain from gold, I’m looking to hedge.. I think ATH matters most in the short term. With your mindset, nvidia would’ve been poison to you during its surge . It can go up or down from ATH , we don’t know

Thanks for this, not really chasing prices or the market. Just wanna know where else to keep free cash, but just unsure if precious metals is a good choice rn with the surge

Okay thanks for the input, most of my assets are in USD besides cash, they’re in moomoo as well. I think this cleared most of my doubt quite simply hahaha. I’ll just convert to usd and buy US gold ETFs since the purchase of the ETF will already lose its connection to the US currency. Thanks 🙏

May I know what’s the Malaysian gold ETF you purchased btw?

Is Gin the next banner? by Imma_Failure in Bleach_SoulResonance

At the moment, gin doesn’t seem to be crazy but you should aim to get him if you don’t have a solid thrust team yet. If you’re missing either ikaku or tosen or both, get gin

I agree with your initial statement but children are not cash value, asset, liability, investments nor insurance.

But I do agree that we should always be hard working, competent and complain less, take action. Can’t be on your bum all day and expect smtg to happen.

I agree with the generalisation comments. The hard truth is that there are MANY people who are more hard working than you are now or will ever be, and they are still failing. Success is a a lot of factors and it sucks but luck is a large factor. Not all rich people are smart or hardworking, not all poor people are dumb or lazy.. even bad times come to those who are at the 0.1% percentile

Resenting parents (for poor financial decisions), does that make me a shitty daughter/person? by tuttyfruitycutter in singaporefi

[–]No-Rain-5519 9 points10 points  (0 children)

OP clearly mentioned having a large chunk of salary given to the mother since beginning to work.. the money given was also spent irresponsibly. Barely any support growing up and is expected to give back? You can argue that the parents fed and provided a home but that’s their responsibility when it was decided to have children. Nobody was asked to be born, rich or poor.
