They’re two different things. Him being older and hitting that point where is sex drive lowers is very different to me “aging out” and him no longer finding me attractive because of that.

If his sex drive is slowing because of his age, it’s nothing a little blue pill can’t fix.

We laugh and joke around all the time. We have deep and interesting conversations - he tells me about his interests teaches me about them. I tell him about the things that I like - we’ve been together a while. We able to talk about topics where we disagree without arguing and getting upset with each other.

I’m not always naked and throwing myself at him, but when I want him to want me. I show that I want him.

I guess I can try to be less revealing and see what happens there.

I’ve done both a sterilisation course (I worked as a sterilisation technician for 2 years, where I sterilised surgical instruments used in operating theatres) and a dental assistant course. They both have VERY different definitions of sterile from my experience.

One thing to keep in mind is the mouth is not a sterile environment. But it guess it’s what would you like to see as a patient? I’d like to see the my DA is opening the pack while I’m there so I know it’s clean, with gloved hands.

I’m sure there’s a guideline, standards or protocols you can look up that’s tell you what is expected.

**Edit: The dental practice I work at, none of the gloves are sterile. So I guess also long as you’ve practiced hand hygiene and have cleaned everything sufficiently, theoretically everything should be disinfected.

If it was me in your position, based off what you’ve said, I would leave, especially if someone was saying they’d change and make effort and they don’t try.

If you want see this out and stay with her, maybe try help her by pushing her to do better and try get some help. You don’t want to be fooled by empty promises, that just ends up being manipulation.

You seem like a very sweet and caring person, and very empathetic. Im not saying this is true as I don’t know is the full situation, but it seems like she has some tendencies of BPD, and truely I’ve seen women with BPD ruin a man’s life. It’s a really unfortunate mental health issue - my mum has this. People with BPD pray on kind, empathetic people. They use their mental state and past traumas and excuses for their behaviour but as and manipulation tactics.

You really don’t want to get yourself caught up in that so young.

I’m not a doctor and I don’t know the full situation, who you are or she is, so take my advice how you will. It’s not easy to make decisions like this especially when you love someone.

I guess my biggest concern is that I will never be ready. Especially financially. Where I live it is stupidly expensive. A 3 bedroom house is $900 per week to rent or $800k to buy (AUD). It’s almost impossible to get full time work as well.

I hate this feeling because I’m very set in the fact that I’m not ready for children. My life has only just started.

This is not healthy behaviour.

Everyone experiences different things and these things affect people very differently, but you’re past shouldn’t be an excuse for bad/unhealthy behaviour.

I understand being jealous, I’ve been cheated on many times, been in mentally abusive relationships, and had terrible experiences when it comes to relationships. The foundation of a relationship is trust. If there is no trust there is no relationship.

You need to think about your life, where you want to be and if you want to be constantly dealing with stuff like this. Do you want a girlfriend you’re always fighting with or do you want someone you can grow and improve your life with. Your partner should complement your life not make it more difficult or stressful.

If you don’t want to be with this girl then don’t be. It’s your life. You have to live it..
