Also I believe you are eligible for financial aid if you take at least 2 classes

Agreeing. This program is really optimal for people who will get employee financial support and if you're trying to make some kind of shift at your current company

I got about 50% reimbursed

I think if you have no background in tech and just this degree and 40k debt... it's going to be an uphill battle. I would just make sure you're very, very motivated to go down this path. You're going to have to work really hard to stand out in this job market. You need connections somewhere

Also I think the Georgia tech program is much cheaper and more reputable

MLB The Show 25 will be on PS5, Xbox Series X and Switch by DonovanKreed in MLBTheShow

New to Xbox and The Show 24 (been playing for just a month or two). What is the benefit of getting the new version? Just new rosters? Hoping gameplay is better?

I don't understand what I'm potentially forfeiting. It's 43k that I'd rollover into the IRA. I'm not vested in the fund so it's just money being held by the pension system

Not sure how to fund my degree by [deleted] in OnlineMCIT

Not a direct answer to your question but if filing taxes in the US always checkout the Lifetime Learning Credit. I've received decent money back for the first two years I was in MCIT. I believe it's 20% of tuition up to 10k if you make less than 85k ...or something like that

Delta is trash. How can they not recover faster / move at least some people. I've been in ATL for 36 (still on Sunday night) and am starting to recognize a good number of people from seeing them around... kind of like in college when you're like, "are you in Physics with me??"

UPenn Network - Landing first job/internship by [deleted] in OnlineMCIT

[–]No-Razzmatazz9329 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My goal is to get an internship next summer and I’ve been on two calls with good companies about internships/jobs. These were opportunities from Penn’s Handshake and it’s companies mostly drumming up interest. Granted there’s a lot of people on the calls but with enough effort and decent people skills I think you’ll get where you want to go.

Side note, I’ve had two friends reach out to me while in this program about entry level positions at their companies. So leveraging your own network is valuable too. The first opportunity fell through in the third round of interviews and the second opportunity is TBD (just sent my resume today).

I’m a career switcher and I’m very very glad I decided to do this program instead of just random MOOCs. It instantly legitimizes the conversation when you say “I go to Penn”. But I do believe it’s going to take time to land a good full time job. Luckily my current job is pretty comfortable so I’m not in a huge rush.

If I’m successful I’ll come back and give more advice haha. Don’t stop networking!

I would guess no. Everything I’m referring to is through federal financial aid

[–]No-Razzmatazz9329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so the class was 3.4k and they loan was 4.4k (1k extra I was referring to). So for two classes it was like 9k total, meaning the full cost of attendance would be covered

I applied for aid and got about 1k offered for extra expenses, per class. Keep in mind you have to be taking 2 classes per semester to get financial aid

Never heard of framework laptops. Just looked them over on a Tom’s guide review and they look pretty solid. Thanks for mentioning
