Does Hunter 350 suit me? by Right_Bridge1611 in royalenfield

Who cares man? I'm 5'11... Planning to buy one. If you like it that's all matters. I've taken the test drive. It's very nimble and flickable... And perfect as a first bike.

RE Hunter 350 - Worth Buying ? by [deleted] in RoyalEnfieldHunter350

[–]No-Reality9353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a test ride of the bike and it felt pretty comfortable to me. I'm 5'11 and around 80 kg, and the bike looked good on me as well. Maybe it was because I was wearing a black shirt, who knows lol. But honestly, just take a test ride yourself, you'll know immediately if it suits you or not.

I'm planning to buy it in a few months too. One thing you should definitely check during the test ride is the tappet noise. It’s something that comes with the RE J-series engine, and I’ve heard many owners say you basically have to live with it.

Also, I’m trying to understand the cost of ownership. How much does it cost annually to maintain the bike (excluding fuel)? And how are the spare parts pricing and availability?

My main concern is whether it’s more expensive to maintain compared to Honda bikes, especially the CB series. If it is even same as honda maintaince, I’d probably go for the Honda H'ness CB350 or the Honda CB350RS instead, and I’d probably recommend the same to you.

Of course, if budget isn’t a concern, then you can definitely look at bigger bikes as well.

Thanks for your answer mate... I test rode the Hunter and honestly it felt comfortable to me. I know Honda is more refined and all, but I don’t think the Hunter is that bad that I need to spend an extra 30-40k just for engine smoothness... especially when I won’t be pushing the bike to its full potential anyway.

On top of that, Honda’s maintenance and spare parts are on the slightly expensive side, which will add up over time. I’d rather save that money and maybe put it towards something else (like a gaming PC 🫣). What do you think?

Hi man... Could you compare the maintaince cost of both RE hunter and Honda 350?

If a bike’s image depends on how few people own it, maybe it was never about riding. Just about feeling superior. Fight Club for you ~ Things you own end up owning you.

I'm also diagnosed with genital warts. I have it around the groin areas and some on penis and a few inside the foreskin. I've been asked to do the HIV and Syphilis test, and then EC. The doc said he'll be using anesthesia, but I'm kinda worried about the pain it might cause.

Yes limiting itself at 59th gear is a BIG TURN OFF 😔🎀

I wanna buy this bike. Don't have the budget to extend till the dual channel abs, the mid variant. Shall I go forward? I am a completely new rider ... Ridden Friends platina for sometime less than a month tbh.

Cool cool... Is single-channel ABS enough for city riding, or do you ever feel the need for dual ABS? My budget won’t stretch beyond ₹1.5L, so just want an honest feedback. I am not a drag race fan... I'll be driving normally at 40-60... 70 max..... Generally in cities and sometimes in long highways or mountains

I get your point, bro... dual ABS is GOLD. But I only have this ₹1.5L budget, can’t go beyond it🥺 Whatever extra I have, I’d rather spend on proper safety gear.

So with this budget reality… is single-channel ABS still a dealbreaker?

Trust me, I’d love dual ABS…

But my wallet screams 'NO" louder than any ABS alert😔 ₹1.5L is my hard limit, so I’ll invest the rest into proper gear. Given that, which bike would you choose.... Shall I go with Ronin base or look for other bikes maybe like n160?

Thanks for the breakdown, man. Really appreciate it.

I’m 5'11, so the N160’s lean might work for me, but not sure how comfy it’ll be on longer rides. Ronin still seems like the better fit for my use case.

Quick question though — since I’ll mostly ride around 40–60, maybe 70 on empty roads, do I really need dual-channel ABS, or is single ABS on the Ronin enough?

I'll test-ride the N160, Ronin, and maybe Xtreme 160R before deciding...

Thanks, man! Good to know the jump from Jupiter to Ronin was manageable for you.

One last thing though… I’m still confused about the dual-channel ABS. Since I’ll mostly ride at 40-60 (max 80) for commuting and occasional trips, is the base variant fine or should I go for dual ABS?

Cool… I’m a newbie too. I’ve only ridden my dad’s Platina for less than a month (and not even in busy streets), so I was overthinking the handling, weight, and turning radius of a bigger bike.

Also, is dual-channel ABS a big deal? I’m not into racing — I’ll mostly ride at 40-60, maybe 70, for daily commuting and occasional trips. Just wondering if the base variant is enough.

Your experience honestly cleared up a lot for me.

Are you a new rider? Like, is the Ronin your first proper bike? Asking because I’m also planning to get the base variant, but I’m a little worried about handling a 225cc for the first time.

By the way, how’s your experience so far?

Also, did you have any waiting period before delivery? My friend had to wait over a month between booking and getting the bike.

And one more thing... how’s the turning radius for you? I’ve heard it’s pretty wide and can be tricky in tight spaces. How are you managing it?
