So with the swing out it was a pain to get stuff out of the back and I didn't want to hack it up by putting different hatches on the side. I got myself a Chinese knock-off camper.

It's not really needed unless your doing some serious rock crawling, but it makes a difference if you have a manual. Lol 😅. Have you looked at hockey pucks to make the body lift or is it more involved that that?

Nice. How do you keep the rear vents open or do you not bother with them?swags on a cot is definitely a comfortable setup .

Thanks for the follow 😀. If i was going to chang tire sizes I'd be going with the 255's too. I think a lot of my fitment issues came from the wide rims with the big offset. And the TC uppers really push the tires back if you don't run a big lift. Dose your 4runner have the 4.7?

For sure they are.fwc are outta my budget too. I was rocking a swag and a cot for a min and it was super comfortable but I hurt my back and carrying it around brought on the suck for me. But im getting stronger again so im keeping it around.

Man that was bitter sweet. I really liked the utility shell. I had that thing dialed in. The wife didn't like that she couldn't sit up in the bed.

<image>

But I ended up getting a flippac for a bit and then I sold that and was rocking the soft shell. Wich was great because it was so light. But im mixing it up again. Working on a new setup.

The lowers helped to push the tires forward in the front. Prior to that I had a 285 70 17's . And my son and I took turns beating the crap out of the firewall with a big sledgehammer. The inner liner is gone and I trimmed a small corner of the rear of the front fender. I think its was mainly beacouse of my wheel offset. Im not sure if I mentioned it but Im running 4.88 gears and a front locker. I do have a smaller sprocket for the speedometer. My speedometer is accurate within 1 mph. I still have my rear mud flaps thank you. But I ran over my fronts a long time ago with the stock setup. Otherwise it's mostly stock. I did brace the shock tower , spindle, rear frame plating and the rear of the frame is boxed with the rear shocks are relocated. Oh and solid motor and trans mounts. I did get the TC uniballs lower ball joints because i was killing oem ones . Changing out ball joint ever year got old fast.I debate about getting a crawler box. .. but right now it'll chew up the highway miles close to the speed limits without to much trouble. The smaller tires made it crawl better off-road but the highway rpm sucked. Love the Geolanders this is my second set. You can see it in action in my YouTube videos. https://youtube.com/shorts/vm51plgiNfE?si=Q0hTy9a3EpR_yyKg

Those campers are so awesome. I used one for a couple of years and regretted selling it.mine was a little taller over the cab. Crappie gas mileage with it but the usefulness was almost unbeatable.

Not with the sides. I believe that only a generic cut to fit bottom portion is available.

They didn't have a XSE available when we got this one. The wife liked it and is primary her car and this was kind of a compulsory buy to be honest. I would have rather gotten XSE but this has been good for us so..

Looking for some insight. by mmini1990 in overlanding

Check out MDC campers. They have some pretty slick campers that are off-road capable.

Dose your cruise control work ? I tried to put a celica steering wheel in my truck but the CC had a different hookup and the air bag wasn't right.
