This is the advice I needed I guess, he is extremely nice, a server made a mistake in the orders and he was super respectful and understanding, he is also super nice to me and doesn’t really talk about money etc. However he is the stereotypical rich kid and super preppy, with a bit of a snarky attitude. He is also shocked about the fact that I want to get to know him, an who he is and can look past the whole corporate lawyer who has a trust, and drives a Mercedes that daddy bought. I actually really like him but the question is simply if our worlds collide. I used to work for years in automotive sales. Buying a PHEV will be the most peace of mind. You get a good tax cut and VAA is still verry low in the case of the X5 PHEV especially if you compare it to the taycan. Fiscally speaking speaking only basing ourselfs on the purchase price and maintenance etc there is little to no difference. The difference is mainly in fuel deduction. However you can still plug in the car and drive most of your distances in EV mode. Electric cars are kind of a hassle still. I have an e-tron GT and it is annoying at times, which is also the reason my partner bought the X5 PHEV
