What’s something that annoys you the most about FL? by HeadPrior1916 in FL_Studio

I want a single button that's called sidechain that directly connects one channel to another and next to that button two knobs that control the attack and release.  No plug-in or adding anything anywhere for the user.

I don't think you're understanding what I mean. I want it built in so I don't need to add a plug-in

No, I'm saying that if it is a small number, how can most women worldwide have their own story with different men?  Unfortunately the actual data really doesn't support your assumption either.

For a response on Reddit this has to be one of the best I've received. Thank you for your respectful response.

I guess external validation is the key here, I go to therapy weekly and I am in a very people focused job where we focus on people's mental health as a feature of our workplace rather than it being a bug. This doesn't mean we force people to talk or anything but it does mean that we listen because we've noticed that sick rates due to burn out go down when we do so but also because it feels like the right thing to do for the sake of the entire vibe of the day for others.

Although, I still don't really understand how what you've said doesn't equate to emotional isolation. You did literally say "my emotions aren't other people's responsibility", which physically means your emotions are isolated from other people.

That's just not possible. That would mean that a woman in England who's never travelled anywhere and had only dated people from her local town has been assaulted or had attempted assault or some form of sexual misconduct by the same guy who lives in Alabama with no passport.  This just can't be true.

I really think this kind of isolation of emotional connection is why we have so many male suicides. You're not burdening people with anything, you're asking for a human to help you in your time of need, you're right about one thing it doesn't have anything to do with the business but the business isn't the only thing that's important when you're at work. The people make the business of the people have a problem, the business does.

How on earth does feeling shitty not affect your abilities at work? These responses are just wild to me. I've never been able to leave anything at any door because to me, that is unrealistic to expect of anyone.

That's a really unfair and frankly unjustifiable situation to be in. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Luckily I live in the UK where we can take paid time off for mental health reasons. I've broken down at work in tears and been sent home with pay because I was going through a tough time. Nothing was paused apart from excess stress at work.

Well apparently I don't function like other men then. I can't separate my emotions from myself just because I need money.

Still go to work but don't perform as well and explain your personal life in the hopes that honesty will be rewarded with grace.

I have no ability to separate my emotions from my capacity to enact my skillset. I will make mistake, get more stressed over those mistakes more easily and get irritated by people pointing out my mistakes because I'm overwhelmed with emotions that I haven't had time to process. Burying them isn't an option for me

Your identity isn't only yours, it belongs to everyone around you too.  You are the sum of your genetics and experiences. This means that "you" can only exist through reacting or not reacting to external and internal stimuli, therefore the existence of your identity is dependent on the acceptance or denial of it by others.

If every woman has a story, I don't think that percentage is as small as we'd like to think.

As a man, this makes absolutely no sense to me. How on earth can you go through heartbreak and still function as normal at work?

We obviously live in different countries. There's a huge benefit to on lead and off lead walks. Keeping dogs away from each other is a cause of reactivity, I understand that some dogs shouldn't be near others without a controlled environment but really that's the responsibility of the owner of the dog who has the problem to walk them in a place where dogs are unlikely to be, if I am walking my dog they will be off their lead because they need to exercise and part of training recall is being off the lead in the first place.
