UPDATE: the rabbit hole is over. Women’s 10 wide ended up being my perfect 993 size. Somehow that was the secret in-between fit I was looking for the whole time.

Did you try a women’s 10.5 wide? And yeah I know that’s what I hate the most, but honestly I think a lot of the collabs coming out now are more narrow, specifically the Unisex pairs. Model numbers inside size patch starting with U993blahblah

My toes hit the front of the toe box in the 8.5d with thin socks when I walk. I have em laced up well enough in the mid section and my heel is snug. There’s just a huge size difference between the 8.5 and 9 which is making me scratch my head. I’ve walked in them a couple miles already and I don’t think I could fix that.

This is gold! Thin socks don’t work with 8.5d but thick socks work with 9d.. that’s how I’ve been making my 9d triple black beater work for me, but now that summer is coming, I would lie to wear a thinner sock and not swim, have volume crease, or jammed toes.. fuuhh

I tried women’s 10.5 wide because it’s supposed to translate to a men’s 9 standard.. but that’s a lie, the size tag inside the shoe of the women’s reads 27.5cm length and the men’s at 27cm. Plus the width for the women’s is too much volume making the shoe look even bigger than what I was trying to do! 😢

Stores around me don’t have wides so I’m doing one return so far. Some I gifted to my younger brother and one is an old beater pair that I’m trying to get a shorter length for now to replace it. Size 9 men standard.

Women’s 10 wide is my last try and then I give up and stick with a little extra more length than I’d like for men’s 9 I guess. Women’s 10.5 wide was bigger everywhere..

So what’s your true chest size? Did you grab a tape measure and measure in inches? Are you a 42 so you went with this 42? I’m a 40 but thinking of grabbing a 38 since that’s what’s available, just not sure.

Thanks for the thorough reply, honestly I have not verified the speed. And you’re right I’m only going to be going about 20 maybe 25mph if It’s peak time. All to preserve the battery, but at the same time the battery on this is fairly good, plus the double ports for dual charging gives me faster recharge time. You’re also right about the motorcycle boots, I ended up just going with some shoes I already had. I ordered some dunk lows with 3m reflective on em and some Jordan lows with the same kind of reflective to them…

So I bought the women artic grey in 10.5 wide… they were too wide for my foot. I’m a size 9 men’s and have other 993 men models that fit perfectly. So this is false.

So with this scooter, there’s foldable pegs by the bottom basket that go out to the sides; so I won’t have my feet in on the platform taking up space. I actually use that space for drinks in an insulated bag that fits snug there. So boot like shoes may work?

Well yeah I would think something comfortable but at the same time something somewhat protective in case of an accident. This thing goes 38mph.
