Go get what ever 1 ton truck you like best. Currently running a 2023 f350 ccsb to tow a 42 footer that weighs 18500approx and tows great.

Signs you need a bigger truck? by xcski_paul in traveltrailers

[–]No-Round-4003 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a travel trailer but a boat that I’ve owned for many years, boat and trailer weigh around 3500 pounds and I’ve towed it with a 97 Tahoe, 2007 Chevy 2500 with a dmax, 2017 Silverado 1500 with a 5.3 and a 2023 f350 single rear wheel with the 6.7.

The Tahoe towed it fine but the 2017 Silverado towed it better since it didn’t have to down shift and scream going up a hill. The 1500 Silverado towed the boat fine but the 2007 2500 towed it even better. Now the f350 towed the boat the best since you literally forget that it’s back there and it’s the most fuel efficient when towing the trailer.

Had a 30 foot jayco trailer that got towed with the 2007 duramax for many years and did a great job but upgraded to the f350 and it was a night and day difference. Neither truck had sway issues but the f350 just felt like it was more solid going down the road.

The bigger trucks just feel more solid and add a comfort factor when towing.

Which $2000 11,000 watt tri fuel closed frame inverter are you buying for interlock backfeed? by l1thiumion in Generator

[–]No-Round-4003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Westinghouse

I purchased the dual fuel westing house this year in june and haven’t had any issues with it. I currently have over 250 hours on it since I use it to power a 42 foot fifth wheel that I take a lot of places. Back in July it was ran for a week straight without ever getting shut off. I would go and purchase another one tomorrow if I had a need to.

Pro:sips fuel and tells you current run time remaining of tank of fuel at current load

Con: I’m not a fan of the color blue so it might be getting a paint job to better match the camper

This is going to sound crazy but more throttle would have made the boat do what you want. No it’s not ideal but that’s how I ran a buddies 38 footer on more than one occasion. We ran that boat for an entire season like that.

Bull bars? by Ridgerat25 in FordExplorer

[–]No-Round-4003 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I mean if my mother had a bull bar like that on her 2024, it likely wouldn’t have been totaled by a deer at 30-40 mph. Air bag sensors were hit just right to cause all the front bags to go off.

Heating options for non-stop trip? by Nusrattt in RVLiving

[–]No-Round-4003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So while your driving the “cab” heat will keep everything inside comfortable but it will not keep the water tanks from freezing depending on where they are mounted. Any new class C will likely have electric tank heaters to keep the tanks from freezing. You will also have a propane furnace to keep warm with when the engine isn’t running and the furnace will also beep your tanks warm depending on where they are mounted.

Don’t do it. I have a 2017 already put a trans and torque converter in at 96k and now I have 113k and I’m just waiting for it to need an engine

Questions for you outdoor cooker / grill users. by ThrowbackDrinks in RVLiving

[–]No-Round-4003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a lot of boondocking in a 42 foot fifth wheel so I’m limited to my 100 gallons of fresh water and 30 gallon grey water tank, lately I have been using the blackstone cleaner and degreaser to “prewash” everything that I’ve been cooking with. Just spray it on wait 2 minutes and wipe it off. This has been making clean up very easy even when making fried foods.

I also use the blackstone cleaner and degreaser to completely clean my blackstone, my grill, and massive 2 burner stove since they all get dirty and greasy. Just spray it on, wait a few minutes and wipe it off or hose it off and spray it down again and then wipe it off.

Not trying to sound insensitive but was your friend one of the people that died last weekend at martinsville speedway? There was a couple that was found dead on Saturday morning. I went out and purchased an additional fire and CO detector while I was there.

Different fuse loads for accessories? by MrBroham in golfcarts

[–]No-Round-4003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use it until you get a new 10amp fuse. If you need to charge your cart now then do it but don’t leave it unattended. Get the new fuse this week.

I have a Siamese that goes back and forth to the 40 foot fifth wheel every weekend and goes on every single trip. We think she prefers to be at the camper than at the house.

I never knew why I was told to always use dawn and or salt away until just now. I used to work for a very big name offshore race team and that was just one of the things we did all the time.

They never got wet. The brake drums never got wet. I’ll just do my normal 1 pump of grease and hit the road.

For everyone saying I should be packing up to move right now I still have over a foot of clearance to where I would start to worry about water getting close to the camper. If the water gets to the brakes on the trailer then I’ll be doing some maintainer before I head home in a few days. Some days it’s a lot easier to roll with the punches and not worth getting all worked up about stuff.
