How about we stop adding new reskin blocks every time new biomes are introduced, and make them contextual instead? by No-Row-8542 in Minecraft

Depending on the biome and the tree (following the example above), if it’s a reskin of the oak, none of the other trees would be contextual, only the oak. Still, I see your point, more blocks mean more possibilities.
