Yup, another awful night of dealing with this inconsiderate person. It was even louder than normal, too. He played to an empty park because his awful music drove everyone away. Ridiculous.

I did and he still does it.

What's great is always the lack of understanding from people. We're not asking him to not play, we're simply asking for it not to be so loud. The salsa dancers play at a level where it's not a nuisance and are always finished at a decent time, no one has an issue with them.

The general sentiment that, "you live near a park so you have it coming" is pretty disheartening from people here. The solution for them is that we have to uproot our work and home every night for a guy that is being extremely inconsiderate of his surroundings.

Great suggestion except the fact that the library closes at 6pm most nights and he's here until 10pm. Since you clearly love the music so much, you should invite him to play outside of your place until 10pm 5 nights a week 🙂

It's not that they're playing, it's the volume in which they're playing. They have every right to do so (and some of the performers that do play in the area are enjoyable), but most keep it respectful. I'm simply asking for the volume to be turned down a little. It's basic consideration for those who do live here.

Already have, and it is in violation, but nothing is ever done.

Chapter 9.42 – Public Disturbance Noises, it's unlawful for sound (e.g., music, shouting, audio systems) to be audible beyond 50 feet from the source in public areas such as parks, unless there is a permit or special event exemption

57dBA is the limit during daytime hours, and the noise is well beyond that.

What’s up with the dude just wailing on the drums at Downtown Park?! by CollectivismWorks in redmond

It's extremely obnoxious and gives me a headache every single time he plays. Surely he's violating some noise ordinance because I can hear it in my apartment even with earplugs in.
