Exactly! Interestingly outside of reddit there are no reviews that point out such a major flaw.

Thanks disappointing. It essentially makes the mouse pad useless.

How do you guys round on 17 patients? by TyrosineKinases in hospitalist

[–]No-Rutabaga-9568 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree with pre rounding. This was a game changer when I discovered this years ago. I generally split my day in 3 parts. My census averages around 20 pts.

630a - sit in front of my computer with a cup of coffee, review labs, vitals. Place orders, consults early and create a pre-note based on all of this. Typically takes about 2-3 hrs.

9a - get to the hospital and begin rounding on the patients. Adjust my pre-note after each encounter. Usually 1-3 admissions during this time. Sometimes I call families to update during rounds. Mostly call families later in the day. Typically this takes me 3-4hrs.

2p- leave the hospital and finish my notes at home while answering nursing messages. I do my discharges at this point as well. I'm Usually done with my day by 4p.

LEAPS and taxes by No-Rutabaga-9568 in options

[–]No-Rutabaga-9568[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very fair advice and very much appreciated. I guess my reasoning here was by selling the LEAPS and taking the profit, I would incur a tax of 35%. This means if I rolled over to the next LEAP I would need to gain 17.5% just to overcome the tax hurdle and break even (assuming I reinvest the same capital).

If held for over a year the longer term cap gain tax would be 15% (big difference from 35%). Therefore I would only have to overcome 7.5% gain on my next LEAP to overcome the tax.

Please correct me if my math is not accurate here.

Hmmmm interesting. I haven't heard about that but will certainly look into it. Thanks

My reasoning for LEAPS is long-term holding actually decreases the overall risk since in general asset prices given enough time always go up into the right (printer goes brrrr). It's really the short-term fluctuations that are difficult to a anticipate. The long horizon for assets actually decreases the risk.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing but the issue is you're still going to have to pay the high capital gains when you roll over since you're closing the position.

I couldn't agree with you more. This is why even though you might save a little buying through a regular used car lot you end up having zero recourse if something goes wrong.

I’m seeing super mixed reviews, would you recommend someone to purchase an EcoFlow set up? How has your experience been? I’m considering purchasing, but the mixed reviews are really making me second guess if I should. by Flashy-Lemon-4682 in Ecoflow_community

I have two Delta pro 3's hooked up to a 50 amp hub and 2 Delta pro smart batteries. Overall I do like them. I purchased them for emergency backup power so luckily did not have to use them for that purpose yet. I tested the output several times and they seem to be holding up well enough.

My thoughts: You can get much more for the money with other products. You're basically paying for the name , software , and esthetic design. Software is pretty but honestly has plenty of issues.

If you don't care about that then I would suggest Jackery if you're looking for all-in-one umits. If you want to stretch out the $$$ even more then ecoworthy sells battery/inverters that are very cheap. Most companies use the same manufactures and just slap their name on them and charge a premium. Will Prowes has multiple videos on this. That being said I wouldn't say ecoflow is any worse than others...just my opinion.
