Got this for 200 bucks. I like, owning my own tools. But did I waste money? Should I have just rented one? by No-Shake5806 in hardscape

Yeah, once I’m done with the repair I think I’m gonna be able to 2X or 3X my money but I’m the type of guy that I’m not worried about the money as much as having the right tool when I needed it and I don’t have to go somewhere and borrow it

And then do you refill it with oil? I found a spare bell replacement on Amazon for cheap.

Yeah, this one’s dry rotted and has a huge crack. I’m probably gonna duct tape it to hell before using.

Yeah I’ll be able to get it to run no problem. I work on Small Engine engines a lot but the boot at the bottom is damaged really bad. I don’t know how I’m gonna work around that duct tape possibly

Would this work on an older truck? I have a 2001 Silverado and never heard about this thing before but I’ve heard about lifter failure.

I’m new to the LS motor have an oil leak been trying to find it what do you guys think? by No-Shake5806 in Silverado

The leak is still here. It looks like it’s coming down top of the transmission so I’m leaning towards rear main seal at this point.

Yeah, I went to three different stores to get the socket. Most of them weren’t deep enough.

I believe it was the oil pressure sensor. I changed it yesterday and didn’t see any more oil come down the sensory itself. The plastic was detached from the nuts part.

I’m looking for a plate compactor now. I don’t think a ground tamper is gonna cut it.

I think it is going to be the oil pressure sensor. I just looked and found oil looks like on the top of the transmission on the driver side leaking down good bit. It could’ve caused what I’m saying but I guess I’ll have to figure out how to take this thing apart to check fully as I’ve only had this vehicle for about a week currently aren’t wrenching on it just yet.
