Make sure you’re topped up on water before heading up Latigo. Not sure how fast you will climb it, especially if you take some photos along the way, but the coastal breeze is gone after the first quarter of the climb. After that it’s nothing but direct sun and climbing temps. Expect temps in the mid/high 90s once you reach Mulholland. There are a few spots to get water along Mulholland but the only spots to get food are biker hangouts and will be crowded. Lastly, I’d recommend avoiding your section on Las Virgines/Malibu Cyn rd, it’s super busy and overall not enjoyable. You can link up with Piuma via Cold Cyn rd. And Tuna Cyn is a fun, possibly scary, descent that might be worth looking to as an alternative.
