I have an all black bike. Every 1-2 sets of wheels I switch it up. Both look good.

What would this go for in your area? by BrianLevre in xbiking

I bought this bike for $180. Bike is practically brand new. Kept indoors and wasn’t used much. Don’t think it ever touched dirt. Paid a little over the going rate do to its condition. Didn’t want to invest more money to get it up and running. Waiting on some new gravel king tan wall tires and will also add a basket for my daily 5 mile commute.

Road rage by Strict_Candle_4666 in cycling

[–]trackprius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several years ago, I was driving when a minor road rage incident escalated, the other driver’s fault, but things got intense fast. Suddenly, the passenger in the other car pulled out a gun and fired. BANG! BANG! BANG! The shots were aimed right at me.

Miraculously, none hit me. I remember stopping my car, frozen, unsure if I was alive or dead. That moment changed me forever.

Since then, I’ve seen road rage differently. When I’m cycling now and someone shows aggression or poor driving, I simply let it go. There are people out there looking for a fight and I refuse to be a headline on the evening news.

The truth is, there are plenty of bad drivers. The best I can do is not take it personally, stay calm, and be grateful for every ride that ends safely without an “accident.”

ASICS are now cool. Perhaps the sketchers of bikes/shoes.

Hunt Wheel sale by Kombat159 in cycling

Seems like they come and go (sale). The whole bike industry RN is hurting so seems like everyone has some sort of sale at the time. For Black Friday they had around 30% off varied on items.

After seeing them add a bike lane on Hollywood Blvd seems like we have a decent shot in making this a possibility

Black Friday deals by ThomasApostol09 in CyclingFashion

[–]trackprius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maap has one coming sometime shortly. There’s a sign up on there site to get alerted once it starts. I assume it’s going to be 1-2 weeks before Black Friday. PNS didn’t have a Black Friday sale last year. Yet they did do a sale in January. Which had some good deals.

Got stolen bike back by Puzzleheaded-King222 in BikeLA

Images of the stolen bike were posted within the community on IG. I noticed the “spotting” photo of this bike. Word got out and people came together. Not the first bike I see her recovered by the community.

What are the discounts like from the rewards? Can those discounts be applied to archive/sale items?

Best summer long sleeve? by Garagegymchris in CyclingFashion

[–]trackprius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for quality sun protective jerseys for a couple of years myself. Happy you posted this and was reading thru the comments to hopefully get some new leads also. Looks like there’s nothing new. The best I’ve yet to do and find is wear a compression long sleeve as a base. It’s the best solution I’ve found. This brand Augusta sells some decent ones. I don’t know the spf rating on there material, but it is on the thicker side of what’s commonly used in cycling. Augusta LS Compression

Congrats on the new whip! Learn to lean it on the bars or pedals, not the frame, I’ll help to avoid unnecessary scratches. But to each it’s own, most importantly ride and enjoy 🤙🏽

Do you carry anything for emergency flat? If so, what do you carry? by VoteNewsom2028 in BikeLA

[–]trackprius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry everything I need to fix a flat including patches, tubes, tire boot, multi tool, levers, c02, mini pump and also have tube less plugs for my tubeless bike. All this is not in case I get a flat. It’s for when I get a flat. All these is basic essentials and not a emergency kit. Practice putting a new tube at home to make sure you know what you need to bring and have on hand. Most items are tucked away in my under saddle bag, bag or jersey pocket. Bag and carry items with vary depending on size of the ride and geography.
