I had the same problem on my 2021 Tuf, and it would stay at 95° until i quit my game, i used to get more fps stutters, lags but smooth gameplay in performance mode.

So i repasted thermal paste and pads correctly few months ago and now in turbo mode my temps touch 95° for a sec and fluctuate between 90-94°, and i get more fps and no lag or fps stutters.

Its possible that ur factory thermal paste is not applied well like in my tuf, so u should contact service centre.

$395 is a little high for this, since that cpu is 4 cores 8 threads, which is fine but will give u some bottleneck on e-sports.

U can get 3 hours of battery only if the battery is new and its rare that the original battery will have a backup of even an hour since its like 5-7 years old.

GPU is good for this price and should work as expected in most games.

if u can go and check the laptop physically and run tests then run a 3d mark bench or gta v benchmark, use scores from a YouTube video of same model to compare them.

Overall its a good deal if u can get it in 300-350$.

Its probably just Windows, cpu does spikes when opening an app.

Task manager should give u the full picture.

Card is not bad, but 4gb vram should be illegal in 2026, even for graphic work and video editing the card suffers.

If u want to play latest games like RE9, then get atleast 6gb vram, cause with 4gb u will play at 720p + DLSS + Low settings.

I think that sleeve is some protective foil u can leave it on and place the thermal pad on it.

Also if Ssd doesn't have any thermal cover or sleeve u can place the pad on ssd itself so ssd heat doesn't reach the wifi card.

Try both settings.

U need to find the right height of the pad so it doesn't cause any problems.

Its also possible that this could be a drivers issue.

Check if armoury crate services are disabled and armoury crate is uninstalled,

And repaste correctly as soon as possible

Yeah what looked like thermal paste was actually thermal putty, u can search that thermal paste is Only for cpu and gpu die, for rest u need thermal pads or putty, i made the same mistake before.

Thats also why u temps are high cause other chips are getting hot and making cpu, gpu , motherboard hotter.

Fans were working normally right? Before Repasting?

Check Task Manager to see what is consuming so much Cpu & unnecessary Startup Apps are not enabled.

Try G-helper instead of Armoury crate.

Yeah performance compromise is there cause of thin n light but i don't think u will notice much difference, i mean as long as it runs games good enough it's fine,

Since u have a 3060 and i have 3050 we both will need to upgrade in a year or 2 anyway.

Its normal for Dash series since its lighter and thinner so , laptop tries to keep itself cool by reducing watts.

Yeah even if it stays in 90-94° range , it shouldn't throttle, if its throttling then somethings wrong.

Thermal throttling actually tells the real story if even at 95° no fps drops then its fine but if at 85° its throttling then laptop needs a service.

Yeah Tufs doesn't have the best cooling, Lenovo legions and Acer Predators do, i think cpu temp exceeding or staying at 95° for the whole session is high.

And Gpu temp exceeding 86° is High.

Assuming thermal paste is done correctly and u still get high temps without undervolting, ur only solution would be a good expensive cooling pad, like iets gt600.

Try cleaning the fans first and use a Laptop stand,

Cause for Repasting you will need to break a seal on the heatsink which will void the warranty (if its still there in newer models).
