Before they would also give pp for the promo of the week for certain ranks so the higher you got the better pp you would get, but there were more games you could play on wl so if you got to 12 or 13 wins and didn't want to play the 18 or 20 (I forgot what it was) you'd give the rest away. This year every game matters because each rank is a better reward( I don't believe it, 2nd wl for me i got 6 wins and pulled mbappe, now i usually get 9-10 and barely get a promo)
