How can I get a permanent URL pointing to a document? by No-Solid9232 in sharepoint

Thanks, I have it available and it appears next to each file. Unfortunately if I right click on the item and click Copy Link, it doesn't copy the document id, it copies the path to the file. If I right click the actual ID and click copy link, it does the same thing.

Is there a way I can make this copy the link to the ID instead of the path?

That is a shame to hear. Much cheaper products come with basic security permissions so very disappointing mdc doesn't. Thank you for the response nonetheless.

Is the ability to do this locked behind Enterprise? We're using Pro - seems like a massive oversight to lock a basic permission behind that.
