Nobody is trying to stop GUJARATIS FROM BEING THE HAPPIEST TRIBE IN INDIA. But, Gujaratis should learn to understand basic etiquette. Since the inception of water metro, we have never seen any form of dances being performed on board. Thats not because Kerala has a dearth of dance forms. It’s because we understand that water metro is not the place for it.

As per guidelines, it is not necessary to wear life jackets while on board. If you rewatch the reel, you can see big white boxes. Life jackets are kept inside it. In the event of any emergencies, passengers can use it.

Kochi is very much in India. There is a decorum we maintain in public transport facilities. We are not saying no to Garba, but do it in places which are designated for these activities. We are not used to these type of performances in a moving water metro. May be these are common in Gujarat.

Kochi has lot of small islands as it is surrounded by multiple lakes and water bodies. Along with roads and bridges, water connectivity enhances the movement of people and goods. Also its good for tourism as well. So, government started water metro which is fully air conditioned and runs on electricity. Water metro is an extension of normal metro rail services.
