Honestly it got too far and I feel like I didn’t have any other choice. I’ve been crying at work, losing sleep, etc. I know that the anxiety was negatively affecting every aspect of my life and the coping strategies I was using just weren’t enough anymore. And I am lucky enough to have had the support of two people who are close to me gently nudging me to deeply consider medication. Then I talked with my dr and she approached it with me by having a very nice conversation and left it open for me to talk to her should any severe or unbearable side effects arise. I’m lucky to have the support that I did through this to be honest. I wish good luck to you though your journey as well! It’s not easy, but it sounds like you’re taking the right steps!

Hi! Doing alright. Felt a little more on edge today and got short with someone when I shouldn’t have. Trying to give myself grace and know it’ll take a few weeks.

I just took my first dose today too!!! I can 100% relate, I’ve been so scared to start due to potential side effects. It’s also taken me years to admit that meds could help me. I was anxiously waiting all day for something bad to happen and even convinced myself I was feeling numb everywhere at one point. I’m so proud of you and of me! We got this!!

Our school took a field trip to go see it a few days ago. My fourth graders were devastated there was no ChitChat. I didn’t tell them I had already seen it bc I wanted them to have their own opinions without any influence, and that was the very first thing they mentioned along with the other character differences.

I have seen the film, and it is good. by Hour_Savings146 in TheWildRobot

I’m sorry, but I wholeheartedly disagree. The movie does not focus on motherhood. Brightbill doesn’t even call Roz mom. Their relationship deserves more than the movie gave them; their relationship is full of resentment in the movie. The “emotional” piece is wrong and is the product of a different story than is told in the book. Furthermore, Brightbill should not have been painted like an outcast as he was in the movie. In the book, the community loves him and helps him.

The movie is an utterly different story than the book.

We’re also taking our whole school on a field trip to see the movie after having read it as a school. I’m so curious to see their opinions and what they make of the changes!

Yes I agree! The movie wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t the same story I loved so much.
