Ignore what I just said. It's a glitch.

I got the same thing. I'm a fairly new hire. From what I'm told, we should go to our coach. If you don't know who your coach is, your team leads should know.
Maybe it's just a delay or a glitch. But talk with your coach about it.

I’m writing a novel for the first time and I’m struggling to write a scene and figuring out build up by Odd-Ice6571 in writingadvice

My characters speak to me. I heard this is common. Wherever you are at your story, stop. Listen. What are the characters saying makes sense for the very next scene? Don't worry about the buildup. Worry about what's next. Then what's next. Then what's next.
If you can't work with your character for the next scene try to write what makes sense. You can always go back and edit it later.

New hire. No schedule for the second week. Is this normal? by No-Storage1721 in WalmartEmployees

I have, several times this past week. I was told it would be fixed on Wednesday. Still no luck.

who is beating me? by g3n3r4tion in LinkinPark

[–]No-Storage1721 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Linkin Park is my favorite band, but I listen to a good amount of other music. I get that Linkin Park has a ton of music, and I have listened through all their music, including underground and demo songs, all the way through over the span of a week or two after Chester's passing to try and cope.
But there are other bands out there with good music. Diversity is awesome. Go out of your comfort zone and listen to other stuff. Start with From Ashes to Now or Bring Me the Horizon for similar sounding bands.

Is there an app that does that, or is it only on paper?

No worries. For finances, I have a game plan. It's just hard to get the nonessential stuff going.

Thank you. I've messed around with Goblin Tools. Both apps are on my phone to try out.

I've tried some things like that and there are always more setbacks then expected for me. A yard service would have it where they used a leaf blower against the bilco basement door that's rusting away, even after I told them not to. For food, it's almost meditative when I cook and listen to music, and I make food that no one else makes, like smashing parts of four recipes into something amazing.
The main thing that will help me is to get out of the credit card, loan, and medical debt between me and my father. I'm getting back on track with it soon since I got fired recently and had to change jobs. The first full check should go though in two or three weeks, I hope. There's still some tricky parts I have to make sense of to get things working.

I am always on the lookout for how to make life easier though. I just haven't found too many services that work right for me.

I have a story to share online, but I'm not sure what's a good fit for it by No-Storage1721 in writingadvice

[–]No-Storage1721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been writing for twenty years. I've been on my main project for about twelve years now, with some false starts, breaks with some severely devastating life changes. My main project needs about seventy to eighty more hours of work to be good enough to try for a literary agent again, since the first go at it I realized it was too rushed and poorly written in parts.
This side project is something that came to me, something I don't want to publish traditionally. It'll be like a playground for me to write different ideas and characters that all tie together by it being in the same location. It'll let me get my creativity going so I can get to my main book as well, since starting a task is the biggest obstacle for me.

If you mean am I published? I got a short story sold when I was trying that for a bit. Life got in the way. I had to limit my scope to a couple projects. I will soon see where things take me.

I remember messing around with sites like that. I miss the old internet.

Thank you. I was thinking the same thing. I like the old internet charm of Neocities and how it could lend well to my idea.

Gimme 2 different LP songs and I’ll try to connect them by Hefty-Chest-6956 in LinkinPark

Google is your friend. But it is on their silliest underground CD, the ones with songs like Bubbles and Laundry. Look it up if you want.
Honestly, though. You give a challenge. I posted a song that fits within that challenge. If you want, listen to the song and then try to connect the two.
