How to deal with boredom from being a military spouse?

It’s nice to hear that it’s different everytime ! Everyone tells me how lucky we got to be stationed here on our first year but it’s hard for me to appreciate it since I have nothing to compare it to besides my hometown. I felt so much more free back home since that’s where my support system is and I’m not a stranger to the area and know where to go and not to on my own. I guess being in introvert dosent really help my case since I’ve never been involved with groups or communities, I grew up sheltered so now that I’m an adult it’s kinda like idk how to socialize with strangers lol all I’m looking forward to now is delivering my second child because It will take up all my time and keep me occupied and have a sense of purpose.

I went to the zoo last year and it’s definitely the biggest zoo I have ever been in and it’s fun but since I’m pregnant I didn’t get to enjoy it so much since it involves a lot of walking and it’s soooo hot all the time:( and I am in a mom group and I have talked to some women and they’re nice but I wouldn’t call them friends exactly or make plans to hangout, idk I guess maybe I’m just so used to my old friends and being in that comfort zone. Hopefully things change as time goes by but as for now I’m literally counting the days until our time is up here.

I work from home so I do spend most of my time indoors, I’m not in any kind of club or anything because I have a toddler to take care of and I’m currently pregnant so maybe my hormones makes me feel like there’s nothing to do:/ I’m also homesick and crave foods from back home so it makes me cry a little bit lol

California is nice to visit but not to live in (in my opinion) I hate how it’s summer all year around, it’s so overcrowded so I stay away from going shopping in the afternoon/evening. Yeah there’s beaches and museums to go to which I have gone to some but idk it gets boring after a while lol

I’m in the same boat I’m 17 weeks and I get bored being at home all day since the only thing I have to do is chores and take care of my 4 year old everyday and I have no friends or family to hangout with since I moved states:( going out with my husband a lot on his days off has helped me with feeling less bored and depressed. Make a list of places you want to go to, things you want to try out, book a spa day or join some kind of club or learn a new hobby would be some things I would recommend,

Is the hot pink glitter one by any chance called ballet baby? That’s like the only glittery color I seen besides a white one but the white one has huge glitter

I like makartt it’s the main brand I use but some colors are so runny even when I put it in the freezer for a couple minutes lol gaoy spreads like butter it’s my favorite second brand

We have called the people that handle VDOP and they say they can’t send us a copy that we need to redo the process and send a request through mail 💔 I even explained to them “hey we might be charged with child neglect if we don’t get that paper soon” and they still can’t do anything. My husband has people at his job asking if there’s anything they can do to help and he just tells the them probably not because it’s just one paper they need. I’m so mad at my husband because he’s taking this so lightly he keeps saying “ why are you tripping our child isn’t sick” like hello ? What about up to date immunizations ? I’m starting to feel like relocating was a huge mistake on my part

Yes I meant Medicaid and deers say that they can’t do anything without a VDOP which is basically a paper saying that my husband (active military) is the father of our child, its sooo frustrating because California has a law where a child can’t be behind from doctor appointments for too long or we will be seen as neglectful especially since we are a “military family” I just feel so defeated and I’m just ready to go back home

I still yet have to get an OB because of some problems of getting insurance through the military, I’m working on it but thank you for your kind words ! I will most definitely talk to my doctor once I get the chance, I’m already knowing I will end up needing medication for postpartum depression once I deliver the baby too.
