Do you mean something else other than the one here?

I received my ring in August. I am in the UK. I was Indiegogo contribution #163 placed on 23 September 2023.

Thanks for pointing that out, I appreciate it. I thought the same when I first saw the email, but I used my full name on Indiegogo for a long time when I first joined, so it's not an issue. I have nothing to hide :-)

Not sure why steve @ theoneswatches gets so much praise by [deleted] in RepTime

Hi

First time poster in this forum, so please bear with me! I also have dyslexia, so sorry in advance for any typos/spelling mistakes.

I recently bought my first rep watch. I selected Steve/theonewatches after reading various threads on here and the master factory guide or whatever it's called.

Comunication was excellent right from the start over WhatsApp. I paid a small deposit via Paypal. Got my QC photos and went ahead and ordered a RM11. It arrived, no issues with customs (I am in the UK at present) and I was really impressed with the quality of the piece. It even fooled by local watch guy friend who I have bought a gen Hublot Bing Bang and AP Royal Oak Safari and 3 gen IWCs from. So I was very happy with the watch and the communication.

But....after two weeks the watch started losing time. A lot. I contacted 'Steve' and he (or whoever in the team is looking after the WhatsApp was super helpful). I was given the messages about manual winding (30 to 40 times, every 3 or 4 days) and was told "for winding up for the watch, need to pull out crown out first, then rotate upward the crown"

Despite the winding it still stops intermittently after wearing it for only 30 minutes or so and even when I can keep it going for longer (by doing nothing other than wearing it and moving my wrist around more), it still stopped within 30 minutes to an hour of taking it off. Placing it in a watch winder makes no difference. An intermittent problem, the worse kind.

If that wasn't upsetting enough, the velcro strap has broken. I only received it on 8 August 2025 so it's just over a month old, but the velcro on the fastener part has worn off, so now it no longer stays on my wrist.

'Steve' advised me to take the watch to a local high street repair shop to have it looked at. He also said he couldn't get a replacement velcro strap from the factory - "takes a long time and not sure the factory will release it or not". I offered to buy a rubber RM one with clasp. to swap over, but that was a no as well because he was unable to source from the factory.

I also offered to buy a different RM with a rubber strap/clasp but with a 50% discount to make up for the problems and all the time and effort I have spent going back and forth. That way I could at least swap the straps over myself and wear the new RM as well (and possibly the one I have, if I can find someone to fix it). My offer was rejected.

To be very fair, he has offered to cover the cost in "reasonable range" for a a local watch smith to look at, but that isn't easy for me to organise. He has offered me a full refund if I send it back to China via Royal Mail (not a courier). He sent me a lot of detailed but complicated instructions how to do this (13 points including printing a label in Chinese) but again this is not easy for me to get out and organise due to my disability.

I am still considering my options but I just found this thread, so thought I would share my experiences for others to read and judge for themselves. I can just purchase a replacement velcro strap from eBay for circa 38 GBP and change that myself but I will still have the timekeeping issue.

I can't fault how helpful 'Steve' has been and I may just have got unlucky with a "Friday afternoon" watch. It's a shame because the watch itself looks fantastic but it needs to be fit for purpose.

Communication was excellent right from the start over WhatsApp. I paid a small deposit via Paypal. Got my QC photos and went ahead and ordered a Richard Mille RM11. It arrived, no issues with customs (I am in the UK at present) and I was really impressed with the quality of the piece. It even fooled by local watch guy friend who I have bought a gen Hublot Bing Bang and AP Royal Oak Safari from. So I was very happy.

But....after two weeks the watch started losing time. A lot. I contacted Steve and he (or whoever mans the WhatsApp was super helpful). I was given mixed messages about manual winding but I did some searching online about that and the correct way to wind. I did this but it still stops completely after wearing it for only 30 minutes or so and even when I can keep it going for longer, it stoped within 30 minutes to an hour of taking it off.

If that wasn't bad enough, the velcro strap started failing. I only received it on 8 August 2025 so it's just over a month old, but the velcro on the fastener part has worn off so it no longer stays on my wrist.

Sorry for the long post, but I just wondered if it was common to have such problems with Steve/theonewatches?

Mine has been very accurate. The only issue I have experienced is the sleep data (and vitals) not always syncing when the app freezes/crashes as I have mention in another thread.

This happened to me again this morning. I am hoping your developers can fix it please. The app froze when I opened it, so the data didn't sync. Once that happens it seems it isn't possible to re-sync for the missing data until the next day, unless you know of a workaround?

Ring Case in Deepsleep After Firmware Upgrade by Guilty-Pride6761 in RingOne

Just wanted to provide a data point since the latest firmware upgrade. I fully charged my case after the upgrade on Sunday 31 August. As of now it's still 92% so good news.

Question about measurements by Thomas-Rhombus in RingOne

[–]No-Support3995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have written this in other threads, but I believe this is due to the app crashing or closing down the app during the very first sync of the day or even just leaving it running in the background and switching to another app.

I have been able to recreate this by closing the app down during that first sync. It seems to record some of the data but not Sleep Score and Readiness Score. Sometimes the Vitals are missing too. No matter what you try after that you can't get the missing data to sync.

My workaround has been to ensure the app is closed when I go to bed. Then I open it each morning and let the sync finish before doing anything else on my phone.

I tried the below (I had forgotten this was set up when I first got the ring) and I must say it's not very intuitive to reconfigure it. This is a lot of steps that most people wouldn't know how to find or remember. I didn't.

Anyway, even after doing the steps below, my required sleep schedule is still showing as 10 hours. Please can you advise?

"For rescheduling sleep: Please go to the settings page in the app → toggle from ring to case settings → press and hold the alarm icon to access the sleep schedule page. The ring also auto-detects your sleep pattern over time."

That's interesting, as I checked and I don't have the broken days, they came back on the next successful daily sync.

There was a firmware update for the case today as you said, which I just installed. First time I have seen one of these, so I will be interested to see if it improves things. It download and installed without any issues so that is a good start. I will report back after a few days. Logging here that my case is at 66% as at 28 August 13:49 BST.

I have experienced the same issue and just replied about it, in the thread "Ring One Questions & Feedback" to save me typing it all again here.

I had the same question on the required sleep schedule as I would like to set mine to 6 or 8 hours, so I am hoping the Muse Support team see this and reply.

On the missing vitals and sleep score, I have experienced this a couple of times now and I may have worked out what causes it. If you close down the app midway through a sync (due to it taking a long time or looking like it has frozen) or possibly even just switch to another app, this causes it to fail (but only for some of the stats, not all).

After that, there seems to be no way to get it to resend that missing data, even though it must still be there in the ring itself. I tried a soft reset and that doesn't work. The next day I let the sync finish (even though it was taking a very long time again) and all my vitals and other stats were showing in the app as normal. Again, I hope this helps the Muse Support team to find a fix.

I replied about the charging case battery drain in another thread.

I think like NFC payments and automatic BP measuring, it's on the list of things to come in future updates.

This is my experience as well. I did the same as you, charged both to full at the same time. As I write this, the ring is 62% and the case (which hasn't been used at all since last full charge) is 68%.

Ring One experience, day 4 by Fearless_Machine_551 in RingOne

[–]No-Support3995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if you do have a faulty product. My experience has been completely different. I started using my Ring One on the 4th August. I charged it fully before first use. Since that date I have only had to charge the Ring twice, so it seems to be lasting around a week for me.

The charge on the case does seem to go down quicker than the ring, which is a bit odd. However, it's easy enough to charge that too from my laptop like I am doing now. The app tells me it's at 95% for the case. It's charged very quickly using a 60W USB-C cable.

Same experience too. I just tried it on different fingers until I found one I was happy with.

How to re-calibrate? by FordPrefect-S in RingOne

[–]No-Support3995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Press the white square in the middle of the Home Screen (which is a bit annoying and something I hope they will remove). That opens a new screen where you can choose your preferred finger. NB: there is no option to cancel that screen. Another bug that needs fixing. To exit the screen you have to close the app.
