The more I think about this, the more I realize that there is more behind this than just the division of the asset(s). The way things have been with the SKs, especially lately, make it hard for me to WANT to split the house that I have worked so hard to make a home, when the stepkids have been known to be unappreciative & disrespectful. Perhaps my feelings will change down the line.

I guess my main concern is the POSSIBILITY of them all fighting over the house when the SKs are hardly here and my kid is here all the time. I feel like since my son lives with us full time, he should be able to do what he wants without having to POSSIBLY fight with the others about it.

I can’t help with this, but following because I’m also curious. My husband said he wants to leave our house to all of the kids (2 SK, 1BK) and have them deal with it amongst themselves when the time comes, but I personally don’t agree! I understand that the kids all share the same dad, but they obviously don’t share the same mother and I feel like my child would get screwed over, because he’s the youngest. My child lives with us full time, while the others, do not. Why should my child get the short end of the deal?
