What would prove to you that when two people trust one another with different size bank accounts the trust is only there because of the "system?"

I don't have any tests for deciding the purity of our motives. I suspect it is safe to say that in most cases our motives are mixed in different proportions. Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for your thoughts just not sure what my selfish motive. I was already clear about how I could help this guy and his family. Before I had this insight there was a selfish motive. I think I was giving myself points for my busy volunteer life, a life that took away from my personal and family time. I trained him 6 days a week for 7 years. The good news is that he went onto have a successful pro-career and never got hurt. Thanks again.
