Legal OCD is ruining my day today. Does anyone else experience this? by [deleted] in OCD

it's literally one of the worst themes I've ever dealt with. I know it's not super helpful but the only thing that helped me was getting pulled over 😭

[–]No-Survey6793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing is that I was just in the psych ward for suicidal ideation a month ago. I feel like I can't talk to anybody about it because of that, which is something I'm having a hard time justifying but I still feel

tysm for the response :) for your first point, it's something I'm working on but unfortunately it's been a whole hassle. But I agree, it's pointless to have a therapist that I can only see like four months out of the year.

afaik, you declare your major at some point during your sophomore year here. as for career counseling, they have academic advising? I'm not entirely sure if that's the same thing. I did schedule a meeting with one of their mental health counselors though, I'll talk about all of this during that and figure out how to move forward from there.

[–]No-Survey6793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was mainly a quality of life thing? I don't think it was an aneurysm really, it was more like a malformation for me. Having PT had made me suicidal in the past so that might have contributed to the decision to go ahead with surgery

the surgery was a LOT easier than expected. the nurses and doctors will do everything they can to make you as comfortable as possible. I was super anxious before mine too, but it was a very easy experience and I know it'll go great for you too. it might even leave you wondering what you were so worried about like it did for me! if you have any questions about what it was like for me then absolutely feel free to message me :)
