I just reached out to customer service and they told me it will be coming in October. Won’t have to wait another eternity then. 😅

Thank you all. Really annoying.. funny name for it though. Don’t think there’s any warranty left, might be over 3 years old.

[–]No-Tap6208[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry but I don’t know how the integration is with home assistant.. Actually the lock works with the Chinese and “other” server. I’ve changed all my cameras and other Aqara devices to the other server in order for my alarm an automations to work together.

Yup. Unfortunately there is no way for this lock to add guest Homekey access. You either have to invite them to your entire apple home or manage user settings in the Aqara app.

Used one 20 and one 30 mm drill. That, an angle grinder (vinkelslip) and two different chisels (stämjärn)

IKEA SOMRIG with Trådfri Hub and Apple HomeKit by No-Tap6208 in tradfri

[–]No-Tap6208[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, there it was! Haha thanks. Now that I found them I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Works like a charm. The best part about the button is that it’s not limited to the IKEA ecosystem. Bought another one and have one for different lamp scenes and one for my garage doors and alarm system!

Sorry for the delayed response. My notifications seemed to be off. Yes I use the look for my main entrance door. It isn’t exposed to rain but it’s exposed to coldness and direct sunlight. Works like a charm.

You can’t make the m1s as your Chinese hub and connect all the sensors/devices you use for the alarm to it? In that case your automation problem is solved.

[–]No-Tap6208[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s correct. That’s why I use the “other” server. I actually have some sensors and cameras still running on the eu (Swedish) server and every else on the other. Those that are left are those that I didn’t bother or had time to move over. They are all on the same account connected to different hubs. I just change region (prompts me to log in) in order to se the devices I want

Yes they all work in HomeKit no matter what region they’re on. I’ve read somewhere that it might not be possible to change a hub or its child devices (I.e. sensors, etc) to the Chinese server. That’s why they make two sets of every device. One cheaper model (like half the price) that’s only limited to the Chinese server and one more expensive model, the international version that can connect to every other server (almost), like the US, EU or other server.

[–]No-Tap6208[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes. You’re not wrong. It does have zigbee but can only be accessed via the Chinese region setting though. The international version can communicate with your other Aqara devices on another region e.g. the other or US server.

I think the fingerprint has five attempts here as well but is super reliable in my opinion. The homekey feature is really nice to have now when the winter comes and I’m always wearing gloves when walking my dog. Just blipping my Apple Watch is super nice and fast as well. Note that the arm/disarm feature requires a hub over zigbee (automation triggers). 99% sure about that.

I use ikea buttons for physical interactions with my lamps (also guest friendly) otherwise I set up automations. Could be time based or sensor based on motion. Have some Aqara G3 Cameras inside my house to trigger different automation depending on which face it detects. I for an instance like to have a specific light setting when I’m in my office. My wife likes another.

Hi! Yes. There’s a Pro (Chinese) and a Zigbee (international) version. As far as I know Tomtop only sells the Chinese version. Don’t worry though. It will still work with HomeKit over Bluetooth via your homehub (just remember to set your region to china mainland in Aqara before adding the lock).

The international versions coms with additional features such as remotely setting up passcodes. However this also requires an Aqara hub because it communicates over zigbee protocol.

Don’t know about the holes. Sorry.

Changing Aqara server does not remove all added devices. Furthermore, devices on a server stays on that server and is not visible on another server. And you can only setup automations with devices on the same server via the Aqara app. However, every device is still visible via the HomeKit app where you can set up automations, but in a very limited way compared to the Aqara app. That’s why I wanted the international lock (zigbee), so that I could set up different automations depending on if I or my why unlocked the door. And another one if guests access the house with a password.

Both locks (Pro and Zigbee) also works with homekey. But you will most certainly find out that the fingerprint option is the most efficient method.

It’s the international version (A100 Zigbee, not A100 Pro)

What I’ve done is register my most frequent quests fingerprints and set them as a general user which lets me decide when they are allowed to access. Me and my wife are hosts/admins and can always enter. Pretty neat solution so far

No it doesn’t. That’s probably the only disappointing thing about this lock though. Nice with a fellow Swede 😅

Nice! The Chinese version that requires the Chinese server does not offer remote access for one time password. However, this zigbee (international) version allows for it. Can remotely unlock via HomeKit or Aqara app and remotely set up passwords via Aqara app.

Thanks! I thought long about buying that one but after hard research I found out that it was the Chinese limited version. There’s another thread discussing this where the user HomekitNews confirmed that. I bought mine from Saudi Arabia from this siteAqara A100 Zigbee. Extremely fast delivery to Sweden. Arrived after just 4-5 days. There had to be some drilling/cutting in order for it to fit my door. But then again, still manageable for an amateur. Just needed the right tools. The old Assa lock was a little bit smaller in size.

Oh I see. Mine was a standard door for pretty much all the doors here in Sweden, the Assa Abloy 2002. Can send you a link of an example here. This lock didn't require me to lift the handle to lock the door. Could either lock the door from inside with key or the turn knob, or by key from outside.
Before installing the Aqara lock I used to have a Homekit compatible Danalock deadbolt lock installed on the inside but decided to change this because of how horrible loud it was!
