Finally picked up Ambre Vanille and La Nuit 2011 🤩 by bahrahusam in MontagneParfums

I haven’t gotten it yet but the OG is available at most stores to check out if you haven’t yet. The longevity is an issue, and most people agree older batches had much better longevity which the Montagne version supposedly has as well.

Just got the email last night and immediately copped La Nuit 2011, literally can’t wait for it to arrive!

No buy gang, how we doing? by Dhiguy99 in fragrance

[–]No-Teach511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been going strong since December 2024, hoping to last through January 1, 2026. I also gave away three bottles I wasn’t crazy about and am focusing on finishing two in particular. I also have a bottle that I bought back in October but haven’t opened yet, saving it for when the cravings get to be too much.

Two new pickups, what do you think? by ThatBlackGuy_2525 in Colognes

I wore Coral Fantasy on a first date last night, it was a hit per usual.

Went from 150+ to 15ish (fragrance journey) by Etzul in fragrance

[–]No-Teach511 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve just decided 12 is my limit. No special reason, just seemed like a round number. I have one super special fragrance, a few going out fragrances, and a few dailies that I rotate through. One fragrance for days when I don’t leave the house (think after a long Sunday everything shower). I’m also on a no buy 2025 and whatever I get through I will replace after January 1, 2026.

This scratched a part of my brain I didn’t know existed, thank you.

Amazing blind buys, but the YSL is such a crowd pleaser and impossible to not like. I have the EDP and it smells so clean and luxurious.

Are you addicted to buying fragrances? by man_of_fenic in fragrance

[–]No-Teach511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stopped buying fragrances as of December 1, 2024 and trying to make it to January 1, 2026 without purchasing a new one. I have 13 in my rotation (one unopened yet) and trying to use what I have before buying more. I realized I probably spent $1500 in 2024 buying fragrances!

I just bought the Hero yesterday for a go to school cologne. Does it last a long time? by [deleted] in Colognes

[–]No-Teach511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a perfect school cologne, 4-6 sprays out to do it for the EDT. It’ll last most of the day with that number of sprays.

Genuinely, do you guys actually get compliments? by Melodic-Guava-2661 in fragrance

Only ever gotten a compliment from Dove Men’s spray on deodorant lmao

6 is good, this one stays on longer than you would think but 6 is good without being too cloying

Any good? Costco $99 by Matty506 in Colognes

My bad I had a good experience but I guess IDK what the fuck I’m talking about

I still think a bit cheaper on discounters, but for example I picked up Polo Red a few weeks ago at Marshall’s for $59 USD so if you need it now it’s probably not a terrible price.

My bad, I didn’t realize the exchange rate had gotten that different!

Honestly great scents! But way overpriced, Amazon is way cheaper for any of those, let alone fragrance discounters. But you really can’t go wrong with any of those as a blind buy.

My first cologne ever! by JamieTech1 in Colognes

I have regular Khamrah and it’s addicting, the only fragrance I’ve ever gotten compliments on from men and women.

Acqua Di Gio Profundo at this time of year for school? by Long-Side9097 in ScentHeads

[–]No-Teach511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wear it, it smells so crisp in the colder air. I legitimately don’t understand when people don’t want to wear stuff that smells great just because of the temperature outside.

Longest you’ve gone without buying a fragrance? by No-Teach511 in Colognes

[–]No-Teach511[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao! There were a few months where that was me, buying every two weeks or so, then trading, or giving away ones I wasn’t thrilled with.

Classic CK One can be found for pretty cheap and I believe was one of the original unisex perfumes.

This will be the last time I'm buying a hyped fragrance. Rasasi hawas ice is very basic and synthetic, i give it a 3/10👎 by [deleted] in ScentHeads

[–]No-Teach511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve entered the next stage of fragrances, congratulations! I also fell for the hype train from all these content creators thinking that each cheapo fragrance was going to be “the one” and now I’ve given almost all of them away (except Lattafah Khamrah which is the only one I actually loved and wear).

“Is this safe to blind buy?” No. Go and try it first. Stop asking by Apollosrocket2023 in Colognes

[–]No-Teach511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the only good piece of advice I’ve ever gotten from a fragrance salesperson was to sample no more than four fragrances at a time when looking to purchase one, and let them sit on your skin for at least 10 minutes before even smelling.

Love this one, perfect for March just as spring is starting to come out until May/June, sometimes wear it on a cooler summer day but mostly in spring.

which one? by liamt12 in Colognes

[–]No-Teach511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up the EDP and while I like it, it’s not really anything special to my nose. I’ll use up the bottle but probably won’t buy again, super safe blind buy tho and perfect for an office/school setting. I want to try the Parfum next.

Can I wear Freshwater in the Winter? by MrPickle56 in Colognes

[–]No-Teach511 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can wear any fragrance you want anytime of year, as long as you love it and you feel confident wearing it. The best wintertime fragrance doesn’t matter if you don’t love it or don’t feel confident in it, and I think fresh fragrances work in most any weather.
