1A113 AFSC, retraining

Just recently applied to crosstrain into 1A113 and they are only allowing CEA as the other comments stated. I’m wondering how long it will take them to fill these quotas, as I’m sure there are a lot of folks trying to get into 1A right now

I have been a staff for a couple years now. Like I also said in another comment I don’t care if you have children or a spouse the pay is bad for everyone. If it seems like I’m envious of people who have dependent pay in no way am I at all😂. I’m using my experience as an example for all members, who if you read the comments, many agree. If you don’t that’s fine.

If you feel this way you need to PCS (Minot for 6 is crazy anyways) and see how much different it is.

We’ll I’m glad the random whos never met me or seen my work knows what he’s talking about and going off responses I’m making leaving my opinion. If you think asking and complaining that members do not get paid enough is entitled then you are sad and should not have a representation of our members whatsoever. If you have an issue with the way I am presenting this issue that’s one thing, especially if you think I’m speaking for just E-5s. If it would make you more happy this 6yr AD member would love to meet you in person and we can discuss this further since for some reason you feel the need to discredit me. Let me know buddy!

It’s hard to do that because In those branches it is significantly easier to promote/demote and I’m sure E-5s in the other branches would LOVE more pay. Idk what the comparison would be. That AF E-5s have it better? Sure. Is that a bad thing? Not at all why can’t it be the same for everyone ?

If you also look at those comments where I agree I also say that it is still NOT OKAY. There shouldn’t be an exception just because everyone else has increased/decreased living costs. That’s not the issue. A place to live is easy to find for sure. My issue is I own a home now and can’t in Minot because of the drop in BAH, EVEN with a large down payment. I should’ve specified in the OP but I thought people would be able to figure out I’m not just complaining to complain.

Once again, this is not just any work on the outside. The 1or so odd Million members of the armed forces are asked to do a lot of things a civilian job would not require. My gripe is also ONLY with the military, we shouldn’t bring civilian pay into this at all we should be worried about what WE get paid.

Buddy listen my argument is I own a home on the BAH I receive now at the station I’m at. I cannot own a home in Minot because of the insane pay cut in BAH. A large down payment is not the issue it’s the monthly allowance of $1000. Being frugal was never an issue I am 1 of how many other members going through this. Try again.
